Position Title: PDOT Revolving Trainer Coaching (Full-time)

Background and Project Summary
Pravasi Nepali Coordination Committee (PNCC) is a non-profit, non-political organization established in 2009 by returnee migrant workers. PNCC is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights and well-being of Nepali migrant workers and their families. PNCC operates nationally and internationally with a wide network and in collaboration with government bodies, community organizations, and international agencies.
Project Summary
ENSURE Nepal is a four-year project funded by the U.S. Department of State (TIP Office) and led by La Isla Network (LIN), in partnership with Johns Hopkins University (JHU) and Bournemouth University (BU). The project is implemented in Nepal by three partner organizations: PNCC, POURAKHI Nepal, and NeDS.
Position Summary
The position staff members provide essential support to trainers of Pre-Departure Orientation Training (PDOT) to ensure the effective delivery of the PDOT curriculum. The primary responsibility is to offer personalized guidance to all trainers, ensuring that potential migrant workers with diverse literacy level fully understand the pre-departure information required for foreign employment from Nepal. The position requires individuals with proven experience in training facilitation and a strong background in migration issues relevant to Nepal
Key Responsibilities
Training Quality Assurance & PDOT Trainer Support
- Lead the monitoring of PDOT sessions conducted by PDOT centers
- Ensure the quality of PDOT training delivery across all CoE centers.
- Capacitate PDOT trainers where required in their training delivery.
- Introduce different pedagogies and methods to improve training efficiency.
- Create a platform for PDOT trainers to share best practices among themselves.
PDOT Support & Reporting
- Develop monthly deliverables and submit monthly reports on schedule.
- Develop a data reporting system and ensure a functional reporting system/dashboard
- Maintain accurate data recording and reporting while monitoring PDOT centers
- Prepare monitoring and evaluation reports and submit to the Program Coordinator (PC) as required
- Communicate effectively with PDOT centers and the project team
Pre and Post Knowledge Assessment of Migrants
- Develop Pre and Post Knowledge Assessment questionnaires based on the approved curriculum.
- Ensure the conduction of Pre and Post Tests with migrant workers in an efficient manner
- Collect and compile the data, including data entry, compilation, and coding.
Training Participation
- Participate in training on the socioeconomic survey
- Participate in the pilot testing of the socioeconomic survey
- Participate in training on data collection using community scorecards and qualitative research.
- Participate in pilot testing of community scorecards
Data Collection & Scorecard Administration
- Facilitate and conduct a socioeconomic survey of migrant workers
- Facilitate and conduct a community scorecard for PDOT (migrant workers)
- Facilitate and conduct a community scorecard for PDOT (agency staff)
- Facilitate and conduct quarterly meetings with agencies based on scorecard results
Coordination
- Attend bi-weekly meetings among the three organizations
General Duties
- Participate in project activities, including all meetings, as required
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the organization
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in social sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Migration Studies, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Training facilitation, preferably in migration, human rights, or international development.
- Practical experience in conducting training/received M-TOT.
- Strong knowledge of labor migration issues, migration services, and Nepal’s foreign employment policies.
- Competency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and digital communication tools.
- Knowledge of M&E frameworks is an advantage.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Flexibility to travel everyday within Kathmandu Valley.
