Construction of RCC Framed Institutional Building

Global Learners and Educators Network Nepal (GLENN) invites sealed bids from qualified and experienced contractors for the construction of a three and half storey RCC framed institutional building with an underground facility to be used for office and institutional development purposes. GLENN is a profit-not-distributing company affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal.

1. Project Overview 

Project Title: Construction of Office and Institutional Building

Location: Kageshwori–Manohara Municipality–1, Gagalphedi, Kathmandu, Nepal

Structure: Three and half storey RCC framed building with underground facility

Total floor area including underground: 11562.860 sq. ft 

Client: Global Learners and Educators Network Nepal (GLENN)

GLENN has allocated funds for the construction of this institutional building and intends to apply part of the funds towards eligible payments for the Construction of the Institutional Building at Kageshwori–Manohara Municipality–1, Gagalphedi.

2. Scope of Work

The selected contractor will be responsible for the complete execution of works for the construction of a three and half storey RCC framed institutional building including an underground facility, according to the architectural and structural specifications provided in the detailed bidding documents and must follow all legal steps as required. 

3. Project Timeline

The selected contractor is expected to complete the construction within 16 months from the date of contract signing.

4. Eligibility Criteria

Only eligible bidders meeting the following qualifications are encouraged to participate:

• Legally Registered firm/Contractor holding valid registration certificates
• Proven experience in similar building construction works 
• Valid PAN/VAT registration and tax clearance certificate 
• Availability of skilled manpower and required equipment.
• Must not be blacklisted by the Government of Nepal or any other organization 
• Demonstrated technical capacity and project management ability to complete the project within the stipulated timeline 

6. Bidding Procedure

Bidding will be conducted through a Single Stage, Single Envelope procedure.

Under this procedure, bidders must submit one sealed envelope containing both:

• Technical Proposal 
• Financial Proposal 

7. Availability of Bidding Documents

Interested bidders may obtain further information and inspect the Bidding Documents at the contact office of:

Currently located at Besigaon, Gokarneshor, Kathmandu

A complete set of Bidding Documents may be purchased by eligible bidders upon submission of a written application, along with a copy of the company/firm registration certificate, and payment of a non-refundable fee of NPR 2,000.

The bidding documents can be obtained until 13 May 2026 during office hours.

8. Bid Submission

Sealed bids must be submitted by hand to the office of:

Global Learners and Educators Network Nepal (GLENN)

Besigaun, Gokarneshwor, Kathmandu, Nepal

Deadline for submission: 14 May 2026

Bids received after the deadline will be rejected.

9. Bid Validity and Bid Security

• Bids must remain valid for 45 days from the date of submission. 
• Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Security of at least NPR 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand). 
• The bid security must remain valid for 30 days beyond the bid validity period. 

10. Site Visit

Bidders are strongly encouraged to visit and inspect the project site at Kageshwori–Manohara Municipality–1, Dhudegaon, Gagalphedi before submitting their bids.

11. Public Holiday Provision

If the last date for purchasing or submitting bids falls on a government holiday, the next working day will be considered the final date. In such cases, the validity period of the bid and bid security shall remain unchanged.

12. Rights of the Organization

Global Learners and Educators Network Nepal reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, either wholly or partially.
