Education Level:- Bachelor’s BBA. BBS, BCom and BSc in Accounting and Finance (Master's preferred)degree in management, Accountancy/Financial Management or the equivalent.)

Experience:- At  least 3 + years  (Officer Post in a Project)

Vehicle License:- Mandatory  with a two-wheeler vehicle

About RWUA:

Rural Women Upliftment Association (RWUA), established on 22 Kartik, 2050 B.S., is a non-governmental and non-profit organization based in Sarlahi District, Nepal. With a strong focus on women's empowerment and community development, RWUA has over 33 years of experience in the field. It is a women-led organization with the majority of executive members being women.

RWUA implements several projects in Sarlahi District in collaboration with various development partners and is currently looking for a qualified and committed individual for the following position under the Organizational Core funds, SAMUNNATI,  SIDA/SANKALPA, CSSP and CEFM Projects collaboration with Save the Children.

Position Summary:

The Finance & Admin Coordinator is a key operational role responsible for the finance, administration, logistics, HR, and procurement management of multiple donor-funded projects. The role ensures timely reporting, compliance with donor standards, effective budget management, and internal control procedures, while supporting project implementation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly financial reports as per donor requirements.
  • Support planning, budgeting, and forecasting (annual/quarterly).
  • Prepare vouchers and maintain accurate books of accounts.
  • Ensure timely payment to vendors, staff advances, settlements, and reconciliations.
  • Maintain backup and proper documentation of all finance records.
  • Request and manage project funds based on implementation needs.
  • Perform cash forecasting and ensure timely fund availability.
  • Maintain and update organizational filing and documentation systems.
  • Provide regular financial updates to project staff.
  • Ensure smooth administration operations.
  • Maintain and update HR records for the project.
  • Coordinate monthly asset and inventory reporting to the Central HR and Inventory Units.
  • Ensure safety, security, and maintenance of project assets and inventory.
  • Oversee procurement with Central Procurement Unit, ensuring value for money and donor compliance.
  • Manage logistics and assist field staff as required.
  • Handle day-to-day administrative tasks with prior approval from the Project Coordinator.
  • Coordinate closely with the Central Finance Management Unit.
  • Participate and report in monthly donor project management meetings.
  • Additional work support on the Organization core fund/Audit/AGM

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Accounting, or Financial Management (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance, administration, or accounting Officer preferably in the NGO sector.
  • Experience with accounting software; FAMAS experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong command of English and Nepali (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email, and the Internet.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of handling incoming/outgoing communications.
  • Valid two-wheeler driving license and own vehicle required.
  • Experience with Save the Children-funded projects is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a tight timeframe
  • As per the priorities and requirements of the organization and as authority delegated by the line Manager.
  • Assist field-based program staff in implementing planned activities occasionally.
  • Ensure START-to-End monitoring during Field visits.
  • Adopt and demonstrate the ‘Do No Harm’ Policy in each and every step of your assignments.
