International Nepal Fellowship (Nepal) is a Non-Government Organization established in 1952 and serves the poor and disadvantaged people of Nepal to enable life to its fullness through health and development services. INF Nepal is currently working in health and community development services in the Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim Provinces of Nepal.

For the following position, INF Nepal Green Pastures Hospital is seeking competent, skilled, service oriented, and devoted Nepali citizens who shares our vision, mission, and values.

Position: Counsellor

Location: Green Pastures Hospital, Pokhara

Purpose of the Job:

The post holder is responsible to provide general, psycho-social counselling and support contributing to the holistic healing of each patient and their caregiver/family. The counsellor as a member of the multidisciplinary social service department team will contribute by providing counselling support to both inpatient and outpatient including leprosy, SCI, rehabilitation, dermatology, palliative, ENT patients with their families and visitors. He/She will assist with socio-economic and financial assessments for the Medical Charity Fund.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Knowledge:

• Must have 10+2 or PCL in any discipline.
• Candidate with one year of experience in counselling is an advantage. However, fresh candidates are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience working in the field of leprosy or disability is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and encourage people.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Programs- word, excel, powerpoint.
• Considerate and respectful of team and community members.
• Fluency in verbal and written Nepali and English.
• Commitment to keeping patient information confidential.
• Ability to be self-motivated and make own works plan.
• Understanding of, and agreement with, the values which are important to INF Nepal.
