Background
PHASE Nepal has been implementing various community-based health and development programs across Nepal, including initiatives focused on strengthening community resilience to climate change and improving health service delivery. Under the S Foundation-supported project, PHASE Nepal aims to enhance the capacity of local health workers in Barekot Rural Municipality, Jajarkot, to effectively identify and manage vector-borne diseases, waterborne diseases, and climate-induced health hazards.
Objective of the Consultancy
The primary objective of this consultancy is to design and facilitate training sessions for health workers to improve their knowledge and skills in:
- Identification and management of vector-borne diseases
- Identification and management of waterborne diseases
- Understanding and responding to climate-induced health hazards
Scope of Work
The selected consultants will be responsible for:
- Developing/adapting training materials tailored to the local context
- Facilitating two (2) consecutive training events, each of 3 days duration
- Ensuring participatory and practical learning approaches
- Conducting pre- and post-training assessments
- Preparing a comprehensive training report including key outcomes and recommendations

Number of Trainings: 2
Duration per Training: 3 days
Total Duration of Consultancy: 12 days (including preparation, facilitation, and reporting)

Consultant Requirements
- PHASE Nepal seeks a team of two qualified trainers with the following qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Public Health, Community Medicine, or related field
- Demonstrated experience in training facilitation, especially for health workers
- Strong knowledge of vector-borne diseases, waterborne diseases, and climate change and health
- Experience working in remote/rural settings in Nepal is preferred
- Excellent facilitation and communication skills
Remuneration and Logistics
Consultancy Fee: Will be finalized after negotiations.
Travel Costs: Covered by PHASE Nepal.
Insurance: Accidental insurance coverage of NPR 20,00,000 (Twenty Lakh Only) will be covered.
Other Logistics: Training venue, materials, and accommodation will be managed by PHASE Nepal.
