VI. Salary range: NPR 35,000 to 38,000 per month

A. About the Asia Feminist Coalition (AFC):

The Asia Feminist Coalition is a growing network of feminist activists and organizations across Asia working collectively for gender justice and equality. Established in 2022,

AFC is committed to building an intersectional, inclusive, and diverse feminist movement. With 24 member organizations from 11 countries, the Coalition centers its work on three thematic pillars: Care Work, Climate Justice, and Feminist Financing.

B. About the Secretariat:

The Secretariat of the AFC is hosted by Ujyalo Foundation, a feminist organization based in Nepal. Ujyalo creates meaningful, dignified, and inclusive leadership and decision-making spaces for women, girls, and nonbinary individuals.

C. Position Overview:

The Coalition Coordinator will play a vital role in strengthening the Coalition's vision, deepening member engagement, and enhancing the visibility of AFC’s work. This role requires a strong background in coordination, grant research, report writing, and a firm understanding of feminist principles, women’s rights, and regional gender justice contexts in South and Southeast Asia.

D. Key Responsibilities:

1. Documentation & Reporting

  • Document all Coalition activities and maintain detailed records.
  • Build and manage a repository of activities from member organizations.
  • Draft periodic narrative reports capturing achievements and learnings.

2. Grant Mapping & Fundraising Support

  • Research and identify relevant regional and international funding opportunities.
  • Track funding trends aligned with gender equality, feminist movements, and social justice.
  • Maintain a database of potential donors and share regular updates with members.

3. Coordination & Liaison

  • Conduct regular one-on-one check-ins with member organizations.
  • Document goals, challenges, and progress of member-led initiatives.
  • Coordinate and manage Coalition meetings, events, and internal communications.
  • Ensure alignment of member activities with Coalition priorities.
  • Support the Coalition leadership in ensuring alignment of activities with the strategic roadmap.
  • Monitor and document progress against the strategic roadmap periodically.

4. Visibility & Communications

  • Manage AFC’s social media presence and develop communication materials, including newsletters.
  • Enhance the Coalition’s digital visibility and ensure timely updates.

E. Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Gender Studies, Development Studies, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working in gender justice, feminist organizing, or DEI-focused initiatives in Nepal.
  • Experience with coordination or project management preferred.
  • Strong research and report writing skills are essential.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and digital project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills in both Nepali and English (spoken and written).
