Consultant/Trainer to facilitate Integrated Curriculum and Dissemination Training to the teachers for the Securing the Access for Education (SAFE) Project
This consultancy service is to facilitate three days training cluster wise to the teachers of project schools from Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality, Dhading, Nepal
1. Introduction:
Prayatnashil Community Development Society (PRAYAS Nepal), Dhading is a non-governmental organization dedicated towards quality education, livelihood, good governance, inclusive and well-being of Nepalese people. PRAYAS Nepal focuses on children, women, marginalized and rural communities by setting holistic development goals in creating transformed and interdependent society. PRAYAS Nepal envisions a new Nepal by positive transformation of socio-economic aspect of society and individual through capacity enhancement and optimum utilization of local resources. PRAYAS Nepal has been working with government & non- government partners since its establishment.
2. Context:
PRAYAS- Nepal, with financial support from ChildFund Japan Nepal Office, is implementing the Securing Access for Education (SAFE) project in Wards no. 6, 8, and 10 of Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality of Dhading district which aims to improving the quality of education for all children in the project area. One of the main components of this project is to strengthen the capacity of teachers towards improving child friendly teaching and learning environment at schools. An Integrated Curriculum that the government of Nepal introduced in 2019 aims at ensuring cross-sectoral learning, standardizing of contents and disseminating the efficient knowledge could be an instrument that helps in promoting child friendly teaching and learning environment at school. Moreover, the Integrated Curriculum aims at developing a comprehensive communicative competence on the part of the learners. It also includes the language functions which the students need for real-life communication and further studies. Therefore, the project has adopted the Cluster Basis Integrated Curriculum and Dissemination Training to teachers
PRAYAS-Nepal is going to organize a 3-day cluster basis integrated curriculum and dissemination training to teachers of 19 project schools and seeking a qualified consultant to facilitate a comprehensive training to teachers on Integrated Curriculum and dissemination. The expected results of this training are all the teachers have enhanced understanding on Integrated Curriculum and Skills on how to replicate it in the classroom learning process and Teachers hands on skill will improve their classroom learning practices in the grade 1-3. There will be three cluster-based trainings conducted, where one Ward is considered a cluster. Approximately a group of a cluster comprises of 30 participants. The training will be based on curriculum development center.
3. Objectives of the assignment:
The overall purpose of the training is to facilitate three events of 3-day training to the teachers of the project area. So, the consultant designs training contents and facilitates it accordingly for enhancing the capacity of approximately 100 teachers in the project area. The training expects to support teachers in understanding and applying the skills and knowledge effectively in teaching learning process at classrooms.

Specific objectives of the training are:
The following are the specific objectives of training:
- To enhance understanding of the Integrated Curriculum and skills on how to replicate it in classroom learning
- To enhance the skill and knowledge in teaching and learning practices making classrooms fun and interactive to help students develop collaboration and communication skills within the learning process
- To generate locally available education tools/materials and activities aligning with the curriculum
- To improve hands-on skills of classroom teaching learning practices of the teachers in grades 1-3, so that the methods are tailored to the requirements of the students
4. Scope of the consultancy services are:
The assignment is assumed to be carried out based on the following terms.
- Prepare training content consulting with PRAYAS-Nepal SAFE Project team.
- Prepare three days training contents and facilitation schedule.
- Develop training materials and take responsibility for handling the entire training sessions.
- Deliver training in a participatory way by realizing the gravity of student's learning need and cultural sensitivity.
- Pre and post evaluation of the training.
- Submission of the training completion report to PRAYAS-Nepal.
5. Methodology (proposed):
To increase the effectiveness of the training, the consultant is expected to use following methodologies
- Plenary presentation and demonstration
- Group and games exercise
- Group interactions
- Learning and experience exchange
- Role play and rhymes, etc.
6. Role and Responsibility of the Trainer and PRAYAS Nepal:
- Hold a preparatory discussion with the PRAYAS Nepal team to discuss on training content.
- Submit three days training content schedule with proposal and final copy should be submitted to PRAYAS-Nepal, Dhading in English version with the training proposal.
- Submit or upload in given folder all training content related handouts and other resource materials to the PRAYAS-Nepal, Dhading for book binding purpose before 3 days.
- Trainer should follow the specific objective of training in designing content and delivery of training.
- Trainer should follow specified training content, guideline of curriculum development center, feedback form PRAYAS-Nepal, Dhading and other relevant materials and format.
- Deliver the training based on the agreed training design with an output of integrated curriculum and dissemination in Nepali language as of level of participant.
- Provide resource materials produced by the government and other sources on Child Centered Active Teaching Learning related activities to the participants.
- Provide training completion report and handover all soft and hard copy training materials to PRAYAS-Nepal, Dhading Office within one-week after completion of training.
- The completion report has to be produced including results and analysis of pre/ post tests, training designs and all materials used in the training. (Should be submitted in both hard and softcopy)
PRAYAS-Nepal, Dhading:
- Coordination and collaboration with local government and schools (School teachers) for participant management,
- Logistic arrangement of training (venue/hall, accommodation, equipment, stationery, training materials, food during training),
- Organizing reflection and review meeting with the consultant each day after training
- Provide remuneration and travel cost to the consultant/trainer.
7. Training Evaluation:
- Pre and post test
- Feedback sheet
8. Applications will only be considered if they include all the following items (CVs alone are not acceptable):
- Submit interest of letter with short proposal (background, proposal of training, tentative content, methodology, proposed budget, training schedule, required training materials) including a profile for the consultancy firms and CV of trainer
- Financial proposal includes Trainer cost for 3 days, preparation and report cost, travel cost, DSA during travel and other costs if any. The amount should include VAT.
- Credentials/Academic Certificates of consultant/trainer
- Copy of updated VAT/PAN registration certificate.
- Latest Tax clearance certificate.
- Evidence of similar work completed.
9. Essential skills and qualifications of the Trainer:
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Integrated curriculum and dissemination including working experience in education,
- Proven experience in training design, facilitation and training delivery preferably working with school Management, School teachers and Parents,
- Effective training/orientation facilitation, presentation skill and knowledge on different training methodologies.
- Familiar with current government policy, provisions, guidelines on education sector development in schools.
- Good analytical, judgment and problem-solving skills during training.
- Coaching skills considering the level of participant's competency.
- Knowledge of child learning theory and principles.
- Good team player as training facilitator.
- Report writing skills in both English and Nepali.
- Sound understanding of cultural differences and respect diversity.
The consultant/Trainer will be required to have evidence documents to demonstrate technical competencies in relation to the topics required by the project.
10. Trainer Service Schedule and Timeline:
Detailed action plan of consultancy service to deliver cluster basis integrated curriculum and dissemination training will be defined after selection of Trainer. Below is a provisional plan, which will be adjusted with mutual understanding between the trainer and PRAYAS Nepal:

11. Application Submission Process:
- PRAYAS Nepal is inviting applications from qualified companies/firms, motivated candidates who are interested to submit a cover letter, their company profile with updated CVs of trainer, financial proposal, PAN/VAT registration, academic qualifications and a copy of national ID card or passport, all that should be addressed to email account of PRAYAS Nepal procurement.prayasnepal@gmail.com no later than 5 PM 8th May 2025.

13. Terms of Payment:
The remuneration of the trainer will be as per the organization policies and with final negotiations between two parties and the payment is made once the training completion report is submitted to PRAYAS Nepal. PRAYAS Nepal will make payment of the contract amount in cheque to the trainer within one week after the completion of assignment and submission of payment request letter, invoice, and complete set of training report from the trainer. The applicable taxes will be deducted at source according to tax policy of government of Nepal. The trainer can receive the tax deposit slip from PRAYAS-Nepal.
