Position Title: Welder In-Company Instructor

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Duty Station: Machhapokhari, Pokhara Metropolitan City -13, Kaski

Report to: Training Coordinator

Position Summary

Welder In-Company Instructor is responsible to prepare work plan, session and lesson plan based on the approved curricula/course content in coordination with Training Coordinator and delivering high-quality training in welding techniques, safety practices, and workplace readiness to the trainees. S/he is also responsible to assess continuously the performance of the trainee and to comply all reporting requirements. The candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on work experience in the welding industry and a minimum of 3 years of training experience based on the CTEVT curricula in association with Training Service Providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct classroom and practical training sessions on welding processes such as MIG, TIG, ARC, Gas and FCAW welding.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, lesson plans, assessments, and practical evaluations.
• Demonstrate correct use of welding tools, machines, and safety equipment.
• Monitor and evaluate trainee progress through assignments, practical tests, and observation.
• Maintain training records, attendance, and performance tracking.
• Ensure safe working practices are followed in the workshop at all times.
• Update training content based on industry advancements and standards.
• Provide feedback, mentorship, and career guidance to trainees.
• Coordinate with assessment and certification bodies as required.

Candidate Requirements:

• Educational Qualification: 3-4 years Diploma / Degree in Welding, or related trade from recognised institute; e.g., BTI
• Work Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of industrial (on-the-job) experience in welding.
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching or training experience in a vocational institute or skill development program.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certified Welder or Equivalent.
  • Proficient in reading welding blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills in both Nepali and English
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in welding.
  • Comfortable using welding training aids, tools, and simulators.
  • Practical knowledge of Auto CAD

Desirable Skills:

• Ability to handle batch management and workshop logistics.
• Familiarity with training under government skill programs (e.g., CTEVT or higher).
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.
• Adaptability to different learning styles and training environments.
• Knowledge of CAD Revit is an added advantage
