Details / requirements:

Helping Hand for Relief and Development (HHRD) USA, a global humanitarian organization serving the suffered communities through its relief and developmental initiatives, is seeking a competent and committed WASH & SDLP Coordinator to lead and manage its Water, Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) and Skills Development & Livelihood Program (SDLP) projects in Nepal.

Key Role:

  • The role involves overseeing planning, implementation, and overall management of both programs, while ensuring quality, compliance, and impact. The coordinator will be responsible for developing annual project proposals and comprehensive reports covering progress, challenges, achievements, and financials in line with organizational standards.
  • The position requires close coordination with Local Implementing Partners (LIPs) to strengthen internal controls, ensure adherence to guidelines, and enhance program effectiveness. Maintaining accurate and timely project records, including regular updates in MIS and monthly reconciliations, will be a key responsibility.
  • The coordinator will also support LIPs in proposal development, budgeting, and documentation, ensuring full compliance with organizational and donor requirements. Regular monitoring of project activities, early identification of risks, and recommending corrective actions to meet timelines and budgets are essential aspects of the role.

Minor Role:

  • Additionally, the candidate will assist in organizing and participating in meetings, workshops, and capacity-building initiatives, ensuring proper documentation and alignment with standards. Staying informed about relevant policies and best practices in WASH and SDLP and integrating them into program execution is expected.

The role also includes performing any additional tasks assigned by the line manager or the Country Director to support organizational goals.
