VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Save the Earth Foundation International (SEFI) is non-profit organization situated at Ramdhuni municipality-1, Jhumka Sunsari. It was established in 1994 AD to bring positive changes in the social structure of society through sustainable development by the creative activities. The organization has remained consistent with its objectives and aim since the inception. Through its activities and vision, it has been successful in establishing distinct identity among the community support organization of Sunsari District.
Currently SEFI is implementing Integrated Community Development Program (ICDP) funded by Educate The Children Nepal in Ramdhuni and Barahakshetra Municipality of Sunsari district. For this, It invites applications from qualified, motivated, and committed Nepali citizens for the following positions:
1. Position: District Program Manager (DPM), Full time (40% Field visit) - No. 1
The District Program Manager will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning and budgeting, program implementation, financial management, monitoring, and reporting of the organization's programs at the district level. The position will supervise field teams, coordinate with communities, local government and partners, monitor budgets and expenditures, and ensure timely program and financial reporting in compliance with organizational and donor requirements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate implementation of project activities at the district level.
- Lead and manage the organization's overall financial operations and accounting functions.
- Maintain effective internal financial controls and identify and manage financial risks
- Prepare program planning and budgeting, implementing and reporting as per planning.
- Monitor project and organizational expenditures against approved budgets.
- Coordinate and supervise social mobilizers and other project staff.
- Conduct timely field visits to monitor project activities and provide technical and managerial support.
- Track project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation.
- Co-ordinate with local government, stakeholders and line agencies.
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in NGO/INGO, development, humanitarian, or community-based organizations.
- Demonstrated experience in both program/project management and financial management.
- S/he should be local resident of Ramdhuni or Barahakshetra Municipality who demonstrate strong knowledge of the project area and established community networks.
- Professional qualification or training in accounting/finance will be an advantage.
- Experience managing field-based programs and supervising staff.
- Knowledge of accounting software will be advantage
- Good verbal and written communication skill in Nepali & English
- Working experienced at municipality level, skill in women empowerment strengthening and community empowerment
- Demonstrated basic skill on computer applications (MS-OFFICE Package.)
- The candidate must have two-wheeler license.
2. Position: Social Mobilizer (SM): Full Time (80% field based) – 2 Nos.
The Social Mobilizer will be responsible for mobilizing and engaging women, community members, local leaders, and relevant stakeholders to support the effective implementation of the Women Empowerment Project. The position will focus on increasing women's participation, awareness, access to opportunities and services, and leadership within their families and communities.
The Social Mobilizer will work closely with women's groups, community-based organizations, local government representatives, and project staff to facilitate community-level activities and ensure meaningful participation of women, particularly those from marginalized and vulnerable groups.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community meetings, awareness campaigns, and outreach activities.
- Mobilize community members to participate in project interventions and training.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local government, women’s groups, and stakeholders.
- Identify community needs, issues, and priorities through regular interaction.
- Facilitate the formation and strengthening of community groups or committees.
- Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and public events.
- Collect community feedback and report concerns to project management.
- Maintain accurate records of meetings, beneficiaries, and project activities.
- Support monitoring, evaluation, and documentation of project progress.
- Promote gender equality, social inclusion, and the participation of marginalized groups.
- Support the collection of success stories, photographs, case studies, and other project documentation.
- Prepare regular activity reports and submit to supervisors.
Qualifications and experience:
- He/she should have at least intermediate level (+2) prefer bachelor’s degree in any subject.
- +2 or Bachelor’s degree in development studies or social studies or any subject.
- 2-3 years’ working experience NGO and INGOs in a similar role.
- Good verbal and written communication skill in Nepali & English.
- Demonstrated basic skill on computer applications (MS-OFFICE Package.) with ability to produce reports in English and Nepali.
- S/he should be local local resident of Ramdhuni or Barahakshetra Municipality.
- The candidate must have two-wheeler license.
3. Position: Junior Technical Assistant (JTA): Full Time (80% field based) – 1 Nos.
The Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) will support the technical and field-level implementation of project activities in close coordination with the project team, local government, women’s groups, and beneficiaries. The position will provide technical support, facilitate community-level activities, conduct field visits, and assist in monitoring and reporting to ensure effective achievement of project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and implementation of project activities at the community level.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project beneficiaries as per the project requirements.
- Conduct regular field and women’s group visit and provide follow-up support to beneficiaries.
- Mobilize and facilitate women’s group, and other target groups.
- Organize and support demonstrations, orientations, trainings, meetings, and awareness activities.
- Assist in identifying beneficiaries and assessing their needs in coordination with the project team.
- Coordinate with local government representatives, community leaders, and relevant stakeholders.
- Collect, verify, and maintain field-level data and beneficiary records.
- Prepare and submit regular field visit reports, activity reports, and other required documentation.
- Support the collection of success stories, photographs, case studies, and other project documentation.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/TSLC/JTA qualification in the relevant technical field such as Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, or another discipline relevant to the project.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant field experience in NGO/development projects.
- Experience working with farmers, women, community groups, or marginalized communities will be an advantage.
- Basic computer skills and ability to prepare simple reports.
- Ability to work effectively with communities and local stakeholders.
- S/he should be local local resident of Ramdhuni or Barahakshetra Municipality.
- The candidate must have two-wheeler license.
