VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

BACKGROUND

The National Federation of the Deaf Nepal (NDFN) is the national umbrella organization representing the rights and interests of Deaf and hard-of-hearing people in Nepal. NDFN works to promote inclusive development, disability rights, and social participation of Deaf and Deafblind individuals and persons with complex disabilities across the country.

Under the CADiR Project, NDFN is implementing home-based and community-based interventions in Chitwan District to improve access to education, rehabilitation, and inclusion services for children with deafblindness and complex disabilities. NDFN is seeking a committed and qualified Home-Based Facilitator/Educator to support these activities.

Position Title: Home-Based Facilitator / Educator

Duty Station: Chitwan District (Primary focus on Kalika Municipality)

Reports To: Project Coordinator / Senior Deafblind Educator

Project / Programme: CADiR Project

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 year with possible extension)

Target Groups: Children with Deafblindness and Complex Disabilities and their Families / Caregivers

JOB PURPOSE

The Home-Based Facilitator/Educator is responsible for identifying and supporting children with deafblindness and complex disabilities through home-based and community-based interventions. The role ensures improved access to education, rehabilitation, and inclusion services, while strengthening the capacity of families and promoting the rights of persons with disabilities at the local level.

Position Title: Physiotherapist

Duty Station: Chitwan (Majorly focusing on Kalika Municipality)

Reports To: Project Coordinator and Senior Educator. 

Project / Programme: CADiR Project 

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 year with possible extension)

Target Groups: Children with Complex Disabilities, including Deafblindness, and their Caregivers

JOB PURPOSE

The Physiotherapist is responsible for planning and delivering basic physiotherapy services for children with complex disabilities, including deafblindness, through home-based and resource class settings. The role supports capacity building of educators and caregivers and ensures quality rehabilitation services aligned with individual education plans.

Position Title: Livelihood Officer

Duty Station: Kathmandu (with frequent field travel)

Reports To: Programme Manager

Project / Programme: CADiR Project and Sense Supported Programme

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 year with possible extension)

Target Groups: Deaf, Deafblind, and Youths with Complex Disabilities and their Primary Caregivers / Parents

JOB PURPOSE

The Livelihood Officer is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring, and reporting livelihood interventions targeting Deaf individuals, Persons with Deafblindness, Youth with complex disabilities, and their primary caregivers and parents. The Officer will lead market analysis, skills identification, and economic linkage activities while also strengthening NDFN's livelihood policies and practices in coordination with project partners under the CADiR and Sense Supported project and programme.

Position Title: Administrative and Finance Associate

Duty Station: NDFN Central Office, Kathmandu

Reports To: Finance Manager / Admin and Finance Officer

Project / Programme: Organisational / Cross-Programme Support

Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (1 year with possible extension)

Target Groups: Internal – All Staff and Programme Teams

JOB PURPOSE

The Administrative and Finance Associate is responsible for providing essential support to the Admin and Finance Officer/Manager in managing financial operations, budgeting, reporting, and administrative tasks. The role involves handling various administrative and financial responsibilities to ensure the smooth functioning of the office and compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
