Established in 2007, Dalit Development Forum (DDF) Siraha as a Dalit women-led organization, is dedicated to improving nutrition, health, and wellbeing among Madhesi Dalits, women, adolescents, and economically marginalized households. DDF works to reduce malnutrition, strengthen maternal and child health, promote safe dietary habits, and improve Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) practices. Through awareness campaigns, capacity building, household-level nutrition education, and community-based support, DDF has been contributing to stronger nutrition security and healthier communities. The “Nutrition for Life” program (December 2025 to September 2026) aims to enhance community-based early detection and management of malnutrition, expand access to treatment for severe and moderate acute malnutrition (SAM/MAM), and improve health service quality. The project strengthens the skills of health workers and Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs), supports systematic malnutrition case management, and promotes maternal nutrition during pregnancy and postpartum. It also focuses on increasing local ownership and resource allocation for essential nutrition services. This program is being implemented in Siraha district by Helen Keller International Nepal (HKI) in partnership with DDF Siraha. This notice has been published to announce the requirement of the following staff for the implementation of the project.

Project Coordinator
1

The Project Coordinator will oversee all activities implemented in Siraha district

The position is specifically responsible to:

  • Oversee all project activities in Siraha district under the Nutrition for Life program.
  • Provide guidance on IYCF, IMAM (MAM/SAM), and nutrition protocols; ensure alignment with national strategies and quality standards.
  • Spend at least 50% of time in the field, mentoring health workers and FCHVs, and providing onsite problem-solving.
  • Organize and participate in joint monitoring visits; follow up on findings and track improvements in service delivery and referral systems.
  • Plan, execute, and supervise project activities including screening, referral, distribution, capacity building, and community interventions.
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly workplans, procurement plans, and integrate feedback for adaptive management.
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing, Social Sciences, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  2. At least 3 years of experience in managing nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programs in organizations.
  3. Experience in grant and budget management, with the ability to coordinate with local and district-level stakeholders.
  4. Problem-solving and decision-making skills in complex situations.
  5. Ability to deploy teams, coordinate, and provide guidance.
  6. Proficiency in English, Nepali, and local languages.
  7. Computer skills and a valid driving license for two or four-wheel vehicles.
  8. Preference will be given to local candidates.
  9. Minimum 3 years of experience in community health, nutrition, or project coordination within NGO/PNGO settings.
  10. Strong understanding of IYCF, IMAM, and government health systems.
  11. Experience in planning, monitoring, supervision, and capacity building.

Monitoring and Evaluation Officer (M&E Officer)

The M&EO will be responsible for overseeing all data-related activites within the project; 

  • Review Nutrition Facilitators’ submissions for completeness and accuracy, verify against source documents, enter verified data into DHIS2 by the 5th of each month, and maintain a district-level verification log with systematic backups.
  • Conduct household, facility, and community visits, perform spot-checks, ensure adherence to reporting protocols, participate in quarterly Data Quality Assessments (DQAs), and provide corrective feedback.
  • Ensure proper functioning of DHIS2 and municipal reporting systems; resolve data entry errors in coordination with the central team.
  • Conduct routine descriptive analysis, prepare district monitoring summaries, support quarterly data consolidation, and produce data visualizations for evidence-based decision-making.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical archives of all M&E documents including forms, reports, checklists, and DQA records.
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Informatics, Statistics, Nursing, Nutrition, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in M&E or data management within health and nutrition programs in Nepal.
  3. Direct experience with HMIS/DHIS2, mobile data platforms (Kobo/ODK), and government reporting systems.
  4. Demonstrated involvement in data verification, MEL tool testing, and regular monitoring processes.
  5. Strong Excel skills with the ability to produce summary tables, charts, and analyses.
  6. Understanding of nutrition indicators, screening tools, and community health systems.
  7. Strong guidance, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  8. Ability to work independently under pressure with strict monthly deadlines.

Admin & Finance Officer (AFO)

  • Record, verify, and update all financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational policies and national laws.
  • Maintain ledgers, reconcile accounts, manage cash/bank transactions, and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support budget preparation, monitor expenditures, track project costs, and ensure timely payroll and supplier payments.
  • Ensure donor compliance, statutory obligations, and internal controls; support internal, external, and donor audits with proper documentation.
  • Use accounting software (e.g., FAMAS) to maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts.
  • Support procurement processes, maintain inventory and asset records, and ensure adherence to organizational procedures.
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  2. Ability to manage accounting and other basic accounting-related tasks.
  3. Proficiency in FAMAS accounting software and Microsoft Office.
  4. Strong communication and coordination skills.
  5. Minimum 3 years of experience in finance and administration, preferably in NGOs/INGOs or development projects.

Nutrition Facilitator

  • Assist Project Coordinator, M&E Officer, and Field Officer in implementing Nutrition for Life interventions for health workers, teachers, FCHVs, and local stakeholders.
  • Support orientation, training, and onsite coaching for FCHVs, health workers, and caregivers on IYCF, MUAC screenings, and MAM/SAM follow-up according to IMAM protocols.
  • Mobilize local influencers, child clubs, and parents to promote early initiation of breastfeeding, dietary diversity, Vitamin A supplementation, IFA for adolescents, and supportive male engagement.
  • Advocate for the use of local nutritious foods, exclusive breastfeeding, proper complementary feeding, WASH practices, and participation in milestone and awareness events.
  • Collaborate with birthing centers, OTCs, schools, and local governments to ensure nutrition service delivery and inclusion of vulnerable households in social safety nets.
  • Conduct household visits, follow-ups, and community screenings; track adherence of MAM/SAM children and counseling effectiveness.
  • Record and report nutrition activities, community screenings, and counseling outcomes using DHIS2 and other digital tools; submit progress reports and success stories.
  • Support data collection, analysis, dissemination of lessons learned, learning visits to high-performing sites, and perform additional tasks as delegated by supervisors
  1. Preference will be given to candidates with a Staff Nurse, Health Assistant, CMA, or ANM certification, along with an Intermediate Diploma, PCL level, or Bachelor’s degree and experience in community-level nutrition programs.
  2. Minimum 1–2 years of field experience in health or nutrition-focused projects.
  3. Knowledge of Nepal’s grassroots health system and nutrition services.
  4. Strong community mobilization and coordination skills.
  5. Ability to multitask, work independently, and perform under pressure.
  6. Proficiency in using mobile applications.
  7. Fluency in Nepali and local languages; preference for candidates fluent in  Bhojpuri, Maithili, Tharu, or other local languages.
  8. Ability to provide effective reporting and communication.
  9. Preference will be given to local candidates.
