About the Company

Vertex Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd. is a Nepal-based food company engaged in developing and supplying nutritious, fortified and convenient food products. The company works with schools and other institutions to promote nutritious meal and snack solutions for children and communities.

We are seeking two energetic, confident and result-oriented Sales and Marketing Officers to expand our school meal program and develop strong relationships with schools throughout Kathmandu Valley.

1. Marketing Manager

Company: Vertex Foods and Beverages Pvt. Ltd.

Number of Vacancies: 1

Job Location: Lalitpur, with frequent travel across Kathmandu Valley

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Required: 4–7 years

Department: Sales and Marketing

Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer/Management

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Business Management or a related discipline.
• Candidates with BBA, BBM, BBS or MBA qualifications will be preferred.
• A master’s degree in marketing, management or business administration will be an advantage.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in sales, marketing, business development, retail distribution or institutional sales.
• Experience in food products, FMCG, nutrition products, school sales, retail distribution or consumer goods will be strongly preferred.
• Previous experience supervising field-sales or marketing staff is required.
• Demonstrated experience in launching products, developing markets or managing distribution channels will be an advantage.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong leadership, supervision and team-management skills.
• Proven ability to prepare and execute sales and marketing plans.
• Strong knowledge of the Nepalese retail and institutional market.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship-management skills.
• Ability to establish relationships with schools, distributors, retailers and institutional partners.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret sales and dispatch data.
• Ability to set targets, monitor key performance indicators and take corrective action.
• Good understanding of product positioning, pricing, distribution and promotion.
• Ability to prepare professional proposals, presentations and reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email and digital reporting tools.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken Nepali and English.
• Strong ethical standards, accountability and a result-oriented approach.

Duty Station: Lalitpur, with regular field visits to schools

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Required: 0–3 years

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies or Business Management, preferably BBS or BBM, from a recognised institution.
• Candidates with an equivalent bachelor’s degree in business, sales or marketing may also be considered.
• Between 0 and 3 years of experience in sales, marketing, business development or customer relations.
• Candidates with experience in food products, FMCG, institutional sales, school sales, nutrition products or food distribution will be given preference.
• Fresh graduates with strong communication skills, confidence and willingness to undertake field sales may also apply.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong communication and presentation skills in both Nepali and English.
• Good negotiation, persuasion and relationship-building abilities.
• Confidence in meeting school principals, administrators and institutional decision-makers.
• Target-oriented, proactive and self-motivated approach.
• Ability to independently plan daily school visits and follow-up schedules.
• Basic knowledge of sales reporting, Microsoft Excel, email and office applications.
• Ability to understand and clearly explain food products, nutritional benefits and preparation instructions.
• Good knowledge of routes and locations within Kathmandu Valley.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work primarily in the field.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
