PRADIYA FOUNDATION is a national-level non-profit organization established in 2023, working to improve the lives of at-risk and vulnerable children through education, child protection, women’s empowerment, and sustainable community development.
Pradiya International School, a flagship initiative of the foundation, provides 100% scholarship-based education to children from marginalized and economically disadvantaged backgrounds. The school currently serves students from UKG to Grade 6, focusing on child-centered, inclusive, and activity-based learning in a safe and nurturing environment.
Position Summary
The teachers will be responsible for delivering high-quality classroom instruction, supporting students’ academic and personal development, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and child-friendly learning environment. The role requires commitment to rural education, teamwork, and adherence to child safeguarding principles.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Teach assigned subjects to UKG–Grade 6 using interactive and age-appropriate methods
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments aligned with the curriculum
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress, and student performance
- Promote critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
- Participate in academic planning, training, and school activities
- Communicate effectively with school leadership and parents when required
- Support co-curricular and extracurricular activities
- Follow safeguarding policies and professional codes of conduct
- Perform other duties assigned by school leadership
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or relevant subject area
- Specialization in Mathematics or Science (where applicable)
- 3–5 years of teaching experience at primary or lower secondary level
- Strong classroom management and child development understanding
- Ability to use student-centered and activity-based teaching methods
- Basic computer skills
- Nepali language required; English proficiency is an advantage
- Experience in rural/community schools is an added advantage
