Job Title: Stock Manager – Edible Oil Refinery

Location: Omsatiya-5, Rupandehi, Nepal

Job Summary:


The Stock Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the inventory of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and consumables in the edible oil refinery. The role ensures accurate stock records, optimal inventory levels, and efficient stock movement to support uninterrupted production and distribution.


Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Maintain accurate stock records for raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods using Excel spreadsheets.

    • Track daily stock movements including receipts, issues, and closing balances.

    • Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with Excel records.

    • Implement and monitor FIFO inventory management practices.

    • Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports with management.

    • Monitor minimum stock levels and coordinate with the purchase team for timely replenishment.

    • Coordinate with the production team to ensure material availability as per production schedules.

    • Supervise the loading, unloading, and dispatch of materials and finished goods.

    • Maintain documentation for all inward and outward stock movements.

    • Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards in storage areas.

    • Check the quality of incoming raw and packaging materials through visual inspection and coordinate with the QC team for sampling/testing.

    • Verify the quantity of received materials against the supplier invoice and purchase order.

    • Reject or quarantine materials with quality issues or quantity mismatches and report immediately to management.

    • Monitor stock aging and report slow-moving, expired, or damaged items.

    • Report any issues related to stock quality, quantity discrepancies, or safety concerns promptly.

    • Coordinate with warehouse staff for proper stacking, labeling, and organization of stock.

Job Specification:


  • Education: Bachelor’s in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business.
  • Experience: 2–5 years in inventory/warehouse management , preferably in the edible oil or food industry.
  • Skills: Strong in inventory control, Excel, FIFO, and stock reporting.
  • Personal Attributes: Honest, detail-oriented, proactive, reliable, and a strong team player with good problem-solving skills.
