Population Services International/Nepal (PSI/Nepal) began operations in early 2002 and has been partnering with the Government of Nepal, the private sector, and local and international organizations in areas of nationally defined health priorities to create health solutions that are built to last. PSI/Nepal has been capacitating the private sector health services delivery system for the last two decades and in parallel, providing technical assistance to strengthen public health facilities to deliver primary health care and increase access to family planning and reproductive health services.  PSI/Nepal with its expertise and experience in social and behavior change communication, clinical quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation and digital health interventions, focuses on designing client-centered health care projects to address reproductive health challenges affecting women of reproductive age. With an emphasis on consumer-powered health care, PSI/Nepal invests in improving the healthcare market for products and services, and develops solutions that are affordable, convenient, and effective, to help make universal health coverage more of a reality.  In the past, PSI/Nepal has successfully managed HIV, malaria, menstrual hygiene management and health and hygiene projects. Currently, it works in areas of family planning (FP), sexual and reproductive health (SRH) and maternal and newborn health (MNH) with health systems strengthening at its core. PSI/Nepal is seeking qualified candidates for the following position:

Senior Program and M&E Officer: Based in Kathmandu

The primary responsibility of the Senior Program and M&E Officer is to provide technical support and ensure the high-quality implementation of the MNH-PPH Project in the field. The role requires close coordination with the Family Welfare Division, as well as with the Provincial Health Directorate, municipal authorities, and the local implementing partner to ensure effective and compliant project delivery.

Additionally, this position is responsible for establishing and operationalizing a robust Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) and Management Information System (MIS) for systematic data collection and reporting; managing and maintaining data collection devices and mobile-based applications; developing training curricula and related materials; organizing and facilitating capacity-building activities; and producing timely, high-quality reports in accordance with project and donor requirements.

Experience and Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or other relevant discipline with a paramedical/nursing qualification.
  • Minimum five years of experience in the related field with a bachelor’s degree or three years of experience with a master’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience working on maternal health projects, preferably related to PPH, MNH quality of care, or emergency obstetric care.
  • Strong experience working with local implementing partners and decentralized health systems
  • Proven skills in M&E system design, indicator tracking, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in digital data collection and analysis tools (e.g., DHIS2, Kobo, ODK, Excel).
  • Fluent in English and Nepali (speaking and writing).
  • Experience working with municipal and district-level government structures.
