REPORT TO: Project Manager
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Project Coordinator is primarily responsible for ensuring the quality implementation of the DKA Austria -supported “weMEN Club Junior” project. Under the supervision of the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting in close collaboration with local governments, ensuring technical quality, team coordination, and adherence to organizational and funding partners’ standards.
ABOUT HAMI DAJUVAI (HDV)
Hami DajuVai (HDV) is a feminist organization working with young men and boys to unravel the myths and unhealthy practices regarding Men and Masculinities. Since its establishment in 2019, HDV has been working in close coordination with the local government as well as with different development partner agencies for mid-term and short projects. Some highlights of HDV’s project’s impactful activities include, the "Feminism and Men Conference," formation and activities of "weMEN Club,", "School of Feminism", “Film festival on Gender and Diversity”, “Online theatre and trainings on various gender related issues.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop detailed implementation plan and periodic plans in coordination with the project team.
- Carry out periodic review, tracking and reporting of results as per the project document.
- Coordinate monitoring and support visits from the government and funding partners.
- Coordinate with Local government, ward office and schools to execute the project.
- Supervise the project team, ensuring performance through feedback, coaching, and mentoring.
- Guide the preparation of project reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) ensuring quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
- Maintain a comprehensive project database and means of verification, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Support field-level documentation of learning, success stories, and best practices for wider dissemination.
- Contribute to content development for project brochure and handbook writing.
- Work closely with Finance Unit to ensure program and financial aspects are on track.
- Ensure compliance with donor and organizational reporting requirements, formats, and deadlines.
- Liaison between HDV board, its partners and government entities.
- Ensure safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.
ADDITIONAL
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support effective project operations.
- Represent Hami DajuVai in various platforms.
SAFEGUARDING
- Ensure compliance with all safeguarding and prevention of sexual exploitation, abuse and harassment policies.
- Promote safeguarding awareness among project teams and stakeholders.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION and EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of Bachelor Degree in Social Works, Social Science, Humanities or any other related field.
- At least 2 to 3 years of work experience working in donor funded projects.
- Demonstrated experience in quantitative and qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Interested to work on Gender Justice, especially with Young Men and Boys
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali.
- Excellent leadership, management and written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong coordination skills and able to lead where and when required.
- Willingness to travel to the field sites.
- Highly conversant on MS word, MS- PowerPoint and MS-Excel is a must.
- Knowledge of Nepali typing will be an added advantage.
OTHERS
- Willingness to work as part of a team with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to demonstrate the highest level of ethical standards at all times.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple programs.
- Candidates with a two-wheeler (with valid license) will have an advantage
Monthly Gorss Salary: - Up to Rs.40,000 (based on skills and eligibility)
