Role: Operations and Market Shaping Officer
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Invest for Impact Nepal (IIN) is a collaboration between Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and Development Partners to unlock and accelerate foreign investments to generate growth, create jobs, and assist in the development of an equitable and sustainable economy in Nepal. IIN aims to achieve this by enabling Financial Institutions, Private Equity & Venture Capital Funds and Real Sector Businesses access expertise and investment from DFIs and impact investors, while also developing the emerging foreign investment ecosystem.
IIN is established by British International Investment (BII), the Dutch Entrepreneurial Development Bank (FMO), and the Swiss Agency for Development Cooperation (SDC) to complement existing efforts to attract foreign investment and enhance the foreign investment environment.
Responsibilities
The Operations and Market Shaping Officer will support the team in effective delivery of market shaping initiatives, while also focusing on data analysis and management. He/she will work closely with the Senior Operations Manager and reports to the CEO in the delivery of the programme. He/she will also support the larger team across functional activities including dataset management and research. The Operations Officer’s scope of work will consist of, but not limited to:
- Track operational progress and support the team make timely decisions and execution.
- Maintain records and systems.
- Maintain progress tracker of joint initiatives with partners and service providers.
- Work with and manage large and complex datasets.
- Support the team in documentation of programme activities, lessons, and outcomes.
- Support the team in engagements with investors and investees.
- Support the development and implementation of annual work plans, activity schedules, and budgets focusing on the market shaping initiatives of the programme.
- Ensure the market shaping activities of the programme are implemented within agreed timelines, partners and financial parameters.
- Support the team to collect and consolidate programme data and progress information related to market shaping initiatives.
- Support the team prepare presentation, monthly dashboards, and reports.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for programme activities.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in a relevant subject.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in related field.
- Strong proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Expert-level proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- High proficiency in English and Nepali, both written and spoken.
