Introduction:
The Mess Waiter/Waitress is responsible for serving Core meals, Bar snacks, Tea & Coffee, Tea & Toast and drinks at dinning, Ante room, bar and related functions. Serve during Mess Functions and other BGN events as required and directed by the Line Manager.

This position is advertised at 40 hours per week in shift system (including weekends).
Job description/ Responsibilities:
- The day to day serving of core meals (Breakfast, lunch, Dinner), Bar snacks and drinks at mess and function.
- Looking after and serving tea/coffee for official meetings as per event organizer/visit programmes.
- Reception of Visitors at Mess and providing room key for guest according to accommodation booking sheet.
- Serving for food and drink according to the Guest’s order.
- Assisting to Senior waiter / Mess No.1 during monthly inventory of Mess items.
- Displaying new arrival drinks at bar.
- Waiting on Mess members during Mess opening time.
- Cleaning Mess silver and other Mess property on regular basis or weekly basis as when it requires.
- Reporting any breakages, losses and maintenances matters to Senior waiters for further action.
- The maintaining Physically the inventory of mess cutleries, crockeries and Glasses which are issued from stores and securing the mess property & ASU property at the end of the day.
- Cleanliness standard of both the messes (Yatri Mess and Kathmandu Mess) to be always maintained.
- Maintaining and refilling the Bar stocks of beverages and using FIFO system during refilling.
- Daily inventory of beverages, EPNS items day to day in order to avoid losses, assist mess no. 1 for the daily calculation to produce mess bill of the visitors and mess members.
- All the soil linen is accounted and sent for washing and collecting next day.
- Stand in when Mess No1 is on leave.
- Be flexible for last minute functions, oddly hours work and change of duty.
- Picking up beverages requisition, General requisitions from vendors/ ASU stores / QM store on monthly basis.

Qualifications:
- Minimum SLC/SEE education is essential.
- Good understanding of spoken and written instruction in English and Nepali language.
- Knowledge of Food and Beverage (F&B), Catering menu in terms of Food and Drinks and F&B services.
- Teamwork and adaptability – ability to work well in a team as a multi skilled waiter in all the outlets and adjust to changing routines for special events.
- A Hospitality Qualification will be considered an advantage.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in a similar serving, assisting, or hospitality-related role.
- Proven experience in delivering responsibilities effectively and efficiently with a good customer service skill.

- Salary 47,885.00 NPR per month (Permanent).
