Nepal Voters' Right Forum (NVRF)

1. Background

Nepal Voters' Right Forum (NVRF) is a unique, non-partisan, and inclusive network of civil society organizations and individuals representing traditionally marginalized and excluded groups in Nepal. NVRF primarily raises awareness among citizens (voters) about the fundamental values of democracy and empowers them to exercise their voting rights fearlessly, freely, fairly, and with discretion. NVRF is registered as a not-for-profit and non-governmental organization with the District Administration Office (DAO) Kathmandu on February 22, 2017.

Recently, NVRF has started a new project with the main financial support of European Union (EU). The project is being implemented through a consortium led by NVRF, in partnership with four co-applicants: Dalit with Disabilities Association Nepal (DDAN), Purple Foundation (PF), YUWA, and Equity Society Nepal (ESN).

Currently, NVRF is seeking applications from competent, committed, dynamic and result oriented Nepalese citizens for the following two positions:

1) MEL Officer- 1 Position (Open to all applicants) based in Kathmandu

Job summary:

The primary purpose of the position is to ensure an effective and systematic Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) process for the EU-funded project. The position will lead to roll-out of the project’s M&E system and strengthen the capacity of Project Officers in results-based reporting. It will be responsible for developing the M&E plan and GEDSI-inclusive tools and formats to collect, manage, and analyze disaggregated data; document good practices and lessons learned; and share data and findings during review meetings. Qualification and Experience:

Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Development, Social Sciences, Statistics, or any relevant discipline. Masters' degree in relevant disciplines will be an added advantage. At least three (3) years of proven experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), results-based management (RBM), reporting, or research methodologies. Previous experience working with persons with disabilities and/or EU funded project will be considered an added advantage.

2) Advocacy Officer- 1 Position (Open to all applicants) based in Kathmandu

Job summary: Advocacy Officer is mainly responsible to support the effective implementation of the project’s advocacy initiatives and action plan at national level. This role also ensures national-level activities are implemented efficiently and in compliance with approved plans and budgets, with all required reports and documentation prepared for the required standards and timelines. The position will also provide programmatic and technical support to local partners and facilitate coordination with relevant stakeholders to implement local-level awareness and advocacy activities. Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Social Sciences, or any relevant discipline. Masters' degree in relevant disciplines will be an added advantage. At least three (3) years of proven experience in advocacy planning, stakeholder coordination, and activity implementation. Previous experience working with persons with disabilities will be considered an added advantage.
