Vacancy announcement for the position of Intern

Background

Asia Network for Sustainable Agriculture and Bioresources (ANSAB) is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to biodiversity conservation and livelihood improvement in Nepal. Guided by a vision of rich biodiversity and prosperous communities, ANSAB promotes community-based, enterprise-oriented solutions that support sustainable natural resource management and enhance the livelihoods of poor and marginalized groups, particularly women and youth.

ANSAB serves as a knowledge partner in the Green Evolution: Pathways to Food System Transformation project, funded by Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and implemented jointly with LI-BIRD and Himalayan Permaculture Centre (HPC). The project is being implemented in selected municipalities of Surkhet, Dailekh, and Jumla districts in Karnali Province to strengthen local agroecological food systems through improved policies, institutional mechanisms, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. ANSAB is seeking to engage an intern to support field-level implementation of project activities. The intern will help identify key gaps, challenges, and opportunities in agroecological practices, and contribute to knowledge generation, documentation, and learning in coordination with the project team and relevant stakeholders. The position offers valuable exposure to field research and professional practice while contributing to agri-food system transformation efforts.
