Field Research Specialist
Association for International Solidarity in Asia (ASIA Nepal) is recruiting a Field Research Specialist to lead field research for SET4NPL, a programme piloting e-ticketing on Nepal's public transport. SET4NPL is financed by the Mitigation Action Facility and Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) are jointly implementing the project in Nepal in close cooperation with the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport (MoPIT) and other partners.
Based in Kathmandu with regular travel across the country, you will design and run a mixed-methods study (surveys, observation and interviews) tracking how passengers, drivers and conductors adopt the new payment system as it rolls out.
10-month contract (extendable to 12), starting as soon as possible and no later than mid-August 2026. Gross monthly remuneration up to NPR 185,000 (excluding applicable pro rata Dashain allowance), depending on experience.
