Call For Hiring a Consultant/Firm to Conduct Disaster Volunteer Mobilization Basic Training

National Environment & Equity Development Society (NEEDS) Nepal, a Kanchanpur-based NGO established in 1999, has been actively engaged in enhancing community resilience to natural disasters in Kanchanpur and Dadeldhura districts. In partnership with Oxfam, NEEDS Nepal is implementing the project “Strengthening Community Preparedness, Rapid Response and Recovery in Nepal,” which focuses on:

• Strengthening Early Warning Systems (EWS) to ensure timely alerts and preparedness 
• Integrating local response mechanisms to enable rapid, community-led action 
• Enhancing disaster management capacities of both communities and local governments 

As part of this initiative, NEEDS Nepal seeks to engage a qualified consultant/firm to facilitate Disaster Volunteer Mobilization Basic Training in alignment with the NDRRMA Disaster Volunteer Mobilization Basic Training Curriculum 2081.

This training will be organized under the banner of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority (NDRRMA) and jointly coordinated with Parshuram Municipality, ensuring alignment with national policies, local government priorities, and the strengthening of community-based volunteer response capacities.
