Call for Expression of Interest (EOI)

Promoting Rights, Inclusion, Dignity, and Enhanced Political Participation of LGBTIQ+ Individuals (PRIDE) in Nepal

Blue Diamond Society Nepal invites Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from qualified LGBTIQ+ led Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and LGBTIQ+ Networks and Media houses (non-profit) with demonstrated experience in promoting democratic participation, civic engagement, and the political inclusion of LGBTIQ+ communities in Nepal.

EOI is open to LGBTIQ+ led CSOs/ networks that have proven experience in areas working with:

  • Civic and political participation and representation of marginalized communities;
  • Voter education, voter rights awareness, and electoral participation campaigns;
  • Advocacy for inclusive governance and democratic processes;
  • Capacity building for political leadership and representation;
  • Supporting LGBTIQ+ individuals to engage in political processes, contest elections, or assume leadership positions at the local, provincial, or national levels.

EOI is open to Media Houses that have proven experience in areas working with:

  • Media Campaigns through Production of Broadcasting of Radio and TV Talk Shows, podcast programs regarding Political issues 
  • Election and civic education campaign program.
  • Facilitate debates involving youth, political parties, civil society, and SGM representatives on issues of inclusion, equality, and representation.
  • Produce and publish investigative featured live success stories of gender and sexual minorities’ communities which influence the GSM community to fight for inclusion and socio-political participation. 

Eligible organizations/ networks and Media Houses must be based in or working within the following provinces:

  • Madhesh Province 
  • Bagmati Province 
  • Lumbini Province 
  • Sudurpashchim 

Through this initiative, Blue Diamond Society Nepal aims to identify, document, and promote successful models and best practices of political engagement by LGBTIQ+ communities. The project will capture innovative approaches, lessons learned, and evidence-based experiences to strengthen knowledge sharing, advocacy efforts, and the scaling up of sustainable and inclusive political participation practices across Nepal.

LGBTIQ+-led CSOs, Networks and Media Houses with relevant experience, technical capacity, and the qualifications outlined in the TOR are encouraged to apply.
