Positions: Finance and Administration Intern (1) | Communication Consultant (1) | Research Assistants (2)
Location: Galli Galli (Non-Profit) Office, Kathmandu
Duration: Last week of May to December 2025 (with the possibility of extension)

1. Background
Galli Galli is a profit-not-distributing company established in 2013, committed to strengthening the relationship between citizens and the state through dialogue, evidence, and participation. The organization works at the intersection of education, governance, and citizen empowerment. Galli Galli leads ASER Nepal, a citizen-led assessment initiative that measures foundational reading and numeracy skills of children aged 5 to 16 at the household level, regardless of their school enrollment. Through its My Village: A Learning Village program, Galli Galli designs and implements learning interventions to improve foundational literacy and numeracy in Nepali, English, and Math among marginalized children and adolescents. In addition, Galli Galli promotes digital literacy and supports parents, volunteers, and local educators through remote and phone-based education models, weekly SMS follow-ups, and accessible community resources. 2. Position Descriptions
2.1 Finance and Administration Intern – 1 Position (Full Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Support processing of payments, petty cash handling, and staff reimbursements
- Assist with financial record-keeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Help maintain finance, administrative, and HR records (both digital and physical)
- Contribute to procurement and inventory tracking
- Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, trainings, and field activities
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree (or currently pursuing) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related fields
- Basic understanding of accounting and administrative systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking
- High levels of integrity and professionalism
- Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic non-profit environment
- Previous volunteer or internship experience in a nonprofit or community-based organization is a plus
Salary and Benefits
- Minimum Wage as per Nepal Government’s pay scale.

2.2 Communication Consultant – 1 Position (Part-time)
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the organization’s social media strategy and content calendar
- Create and publish engaging posts, graphics, and short videos
- Monitor social media channels, engage with followers, and respond to messages
- Track key performance indicators and prepare engagement reports
- Highlight organizational activities and impact through storytelling and digital content
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across platforms
- Stay informed on communication trends and digital best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Media Studies, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in communications, media, or public relations
- Strong writing, editing, and content development skills
- Proficiency with social media platforms and digital tools
- Experience working with development or nonprofit organizations preferred
- Excellent communication skills in Nepali and English

2.3 Research Assistants – 2 Positions (Full Time)
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in data collection, entry, and analysis for various research and programmatic activities of ASER Nepal and Galli Galli
- Conduct literature reviews and background research
- Support the development of data collection tools (e.g., assessments, surveys, interview guides)
- Coordinate and support fieldwork and other data-gathering processes
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure proper data management
- Draft summaries, reports, and presentations based on research findings
- Perform other research-related tasks as needed
Qualifications
- University degree in a relevant discipline (or currently pursuing) in Education, Development Studies, Social Sciences or related field.
- Previous experience supporting research or development projects
- Familiarity with both quantitative and qualitative methods
- Strong writing, analysis, and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Nepali; additional local language skills are an advantage
Salary and Benefits
- Minimum Wage as per Nepal Government’s Non-Gazetted Second Class Officer pay scale and dearness allowances and festival bonus as per the organizational policy.
- 10% Citizen Investment Trust Pension Plan and Annual Health Term Insurance.
