SIDS Nepal Sindhuli, established in 1994 as a non-profit and non-governmental organization by a dedicated group of development professionals, operates in the Sindhuli District with a focus on uplifting the livelihoods of marginalized communities. Situated in Kamalamai Municipality-6, Dhurabazar, Sindhuli, SIDS Nepal employs a comprehensive approach across sectors such as Education, Health and Nutrition, Child Protection, Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), Climate Change Adaptation (CCA), disaster risk reduction (DRR), Agriculture and food security, and biodiversity conservation. Committed to enhancing child well-being, capacity building, promoting social justice, and fostering multi-stakeholder partnerships, the organization operates within the legal framework of Nepal, is registered under the Non-Government Registration Act 2034, and is affiliated with the Social Welfare Council (SWC). SIDS Nepal envisions a dignified society free from poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, social discrimination, and conflicts, with a mission to empower marginalized groups including Dalits, women, children, persons with disabilities, poor Janajatis, marginalized, and disappearing groups through various interventions such as social mobilization, awareness, capacity building, livelihood improvement, education, and health-related initiatives.
Kopila Project is currently being implemented in Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality Ward No.2 and 4 of Sindhuli district, In partnership with Childaid Network. The main overall objective of project is access to quality education for ECD/EGR children is improved and Parents of young children are aware of their parental responsibilities and empowered through sustainable income generating interventions to support children’s development and education.

(Master’s in education is preferred) | Project Planning and Implementation - Contribute to the development of annual, quarterly, and monthly work plans aligned with the project’s strategies and log frame.
- Support the Project Coordinator in preparing detailed activity timelines for education activities and ensuring timely implementation.
- Ensure quality delivery of inputs, activities, and expected outputs related to teaching and learning, school environment, and parental engagement.
- Represent the project and SIDS organization in coordination meetings, reviews, and technical workshops, and other relevant forums at the local and district levels.
Coordination and Networking - Build strong relationships with local government, especially the Education Unit, and wards for effective planning and advocacy for the effective implementation of the ECD and Early grade related policy, formation of the committees' program development, and effective program implementation at the local level.
- Coordination with Head teachers, SMC/PTA members, ECD teachers, and grade teachers (1-3) to improve classroom practices, student learning, and school governance.
Monitoring and Technical Support - Conduct regular school visits and follow-ups to monitor implementation progress of education activities, ensure timely achievement of tasks and milestones.
- Facilitate teacher capacity-building sessions, orientations, and workshops in collaboration with relevant stakeholders at the field level.
- Provide ongoing technical guidance and mentoring to teachers for effective application of training learnings in classrooms.
- Support teachers in using ELDS tools, Integrated curriculum tools and maintaining children's developmental progress through report cards.
- Promote and ensure inclusive practices, gender sensitivity, and child protection principles in all project activities.
- Monitor and follow up on the functionality of child-friendly WASH facilities in selected schools.
- Supervise the implementation of activities such as School Kitchen Garden support, Go Baby Go sessions, Health screening camps in school communities, and Parenting Education sessions.
- Guide teachers and facilitators in delivering key messages on early stimulation, nurturing care, health, hygiene, and learning.
- Coordinate with Junior Technical Assistants (JTAs) to ensure effective delivery of IGA and agriculture-related training to parents of ECD and early-grade children, linking improved parental livelihoods with children’s school attendance and learning outcomes.
Documentation & Reporting - Maintain accurate documentation of all trainings, school visits, and community-based interventions.
- Responsible for collecting, arranging the final documents of the field-level staff.
- Compile timely reports on activity progress, challenges, and outcomes to the Project Coordinator and central team as required.
- Prepare timely case studies and documents of best practices that highlight the project's impact and learning.
- Support with monitoring, evaluation, data collection, assessments, and reporting requirements in coordination with the project team.
Key Competencies and Deliverables - Solid understanding of child rights and Nepal government provisions in the education sector.
- Knowledge of child-centered learning theories, pedagogical strategies, and teaching methodologies is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess data on teaching methods with providing technical support, and identify student learning gaps with an understanding of how these gaps impact student achievement.
- Provide continuous technical support to School Officers and field teams to enhance their engagement with schools, communities, and parent groups.
- Ability to connect educational support with family-level interventions such as parenting sessions and IGA support.
- Contribute to the successful implementation and quality assurance of integrated ECD and early grade programs.

2. | School Officer-- (100%Field- base) Req. No.-1 (One) | Bachelors in education or equivalent with at least 3 years of work experience in the field of education project with knowledge of Positive parenting. (Local from marginalized community (especially female) is highly encouraged to apply) | - Provide support to the Education Officer, Project Coordinator and Admin & Finance Officer as needed with technical and administrative tasks.
- Support and guide Early Childhood Development (ECD) teachers, Early Grade teachers in development of teaching materials and implementing daily classroom activities on regular basis.
- Support the development of comprehensive project activity plans on an annual, quarterly, and monthly basis, aligning them with the project and implementation strategies.
- Produce and submit periodic progress reports to the Education Officer/Project Coordinator that include valid and concise information.
- Conduct regular school visits to monitor classroom practices, student progress, and teaching methodologies.
- Prepare timely field reports, case studies, and documentation of best practices.
- Assist in data collection, assessments, and evaluations for project learning, monitoring, and reporting.
- Lead to conduct and facilitate project activities with high quality; training, meeting, workshop, seminars etc.
- Regularly visit and mentor schools, ECD centers and early grade schools and provide support as necessity.
- Involve in the creation of low/no cost ECD and Early grade learning/materials and apply them in close consultation with ECD Centre and early grades.
- Mobilize Facilitators / Volunteers under the position for high quality project interventions.
- Conduct regular field visits with appropriate monitoring tools and checklist to track the project.
- Support to conduct surveys, internal and external evaluations and document them along with the analysis of data.
- Prepare and submit event wise monitoring and progress reports to project coordinator with the compilation of disaggregated data of project.
- Support to Education officer and Project Coordinator to conduct project review meeting with project team to review planned activities of that month along with the evidence of challenges faced and lesson learned monthly for the documentation.
- Ensure that schools have child-friendly infrastructures including safe and stimulating classroom and playing areas.
- Support and guide Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Early Grade teachers in the development of teaching materials and implementing daily classroom activities on regular basis.
- Monitor and support Go Baby Go and Parenting Education sessions while also recording parents understanding and progress.
- Lead regular meetings for Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Early Grades teachers promoting a learning environment for enhancement.
- Establish a connection between the Early Childhood Development (ECD) and Early Grade teachers and the Junior Technical Assistant (JTA) for parents group meeting.
- Ensure Parents of young children are empowered through enhance farming and IGA's opportunities.
- Support the development of comprehensive project activity plans on an annual quarterly and monthly basis aligning them with the project implementation strategies.

3. | Junior Technical Assistant (JTA)- 100% Field- base) Req No.-1(One) | Diploma in Agriculture/Vet. with minimum 2 years’ experience in agriculture, marketing, business plan, value chain, mobilization and integrated farming with organic farming practices will be a value addition. (The license holder of a two-wheeler (preferred). | - Assist in the implementation of agriculture-related activities, including but not limited to crop production, soil management, pest and disease control, and post-harvest management working with Farmers groups.
- Facilitate the establishment and management of demonstration plots for production of nutritious vegetables, fruits, and crops along with the management of nutrition garden/ kitchen garden/ home garden.
- Support the identification and formation of farmer groups, most vulnerable families and organize regular meetings to discuss agricultural issues, share knowledge, and promote collective action.
- Collaborate with project partners and local government authorities to strengthen linkages between farmers, cooperatives, and markets.
- Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops for farmers on topics such as crop cultivation, livestock management, and sustainable agricultural practices
- Participate in the collection and analysis of data related to agriculture and livestock production, including monitoring crop yields, livestock performance, and adoption of recommended practices.
- Assist in the development and dissemination of educational materials, extension messages, and information related to agriculture and veterinary services.
- Maintain accurate records of activities, inputs distributed, and outcomes achieved for reporting purposes.
- Stay updated on latest developments in agriculture and veterinary sciences, and participates in relevant capacity-building activities and trainings.
- Assist in conducting training sessions and workshops for farmers on topics such as crop cultivation, livestock management, and sustainable agricultural practices climate smart agriculture practices, agriculture market linkage.
- Support to Project Coordinator to prepare plan and budget for the project under the organizational and project provision.
- Facilitate farmer's training activities. Carry out indigenous crop, seed, fruit, and vegetable production activities/climate resilience sustainable agriculture
- Provide on-site technical support to farmers of targeted communities and other smallholder farmers through door-to-door visit to the communities.
- Perform activities related to post-harvest, micro-enterprise development, and marketing of agriculture products.
- Facilitate regular farmers' meetings and identify issues, and support to access local government resources.
- Carry out other tasks as assigned by an organization and project coordinator as relevant to subjective matters.
- Prepare periodic reports including event completion reports in appropriate reporting templates and submit to the line manager periodically
- To support agriculture –related based activities, income generating activities (IGAs) and farmers group.
- JTA should possess a strong background in enterprise development and be capable in facilitating business development services by helping entrepreneurs, refining business plan.
- Developing strategies for both startup and scale ups and providing guidance on market access.
- JTA should be able to establish employment linkages by connecting entrepreneurs and farmers groups with relevant markets, value chain and service providers to generate income.
