1. Background

Islamic Relief Worldwide is a UK-based independent international humanitarian organization that delivers development programs and humanitarian relief worldwide, regardless of race, political affiliation, gender, or beliefs (www.islamic-relief.org). With over 35 years of experience and a presence in more than 40 countries, Islamic Relief works to create a fairer world for those still living in poverty. In Nepal, Islamic Relief Nepal (IRNP) operates as an International Non-Governmental Organization (INGO) registered with the Social Welfare Council. Through its projects, it provides vulnerable populations with access to essential services, protects communities, women, and children during disasters, and delivers life-saving emergency aid. By addressing the root causes of poverty, IRNP empowers individuals and communities to transform their lives. Currently, the organization is working in Mahottari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, and Jajarkot districts through various local implementing partners.

With funding support from Islamic Relief Canada, Islamic Relief Nepal (IRNP) is implementing four years project entitled Accelerating Actions to Reduce Gender-Based Violence (GARVA) in two municipalities (Rajpur and Chandrapur) of Rautahat District since 2023 through its local implementing partner, Rural Development Center. The project aims to reduce gender-based violence through addressing the economic vulnerability of GBV survivors or at-risk women to make them more resilient, building the capacity of service providers and increasing awareness on GBV prevention and available services among the communities.  It work with different actors including the local governments, GBV service providers, faith leaders, community groups, SHGs, etc. towards achieving results against GBV in their complexity. several key achievements have been realized, including providing access to services for GBV survivors, promoting economic empowerment for the most vulnerable women, and fostering positive attitudes, behaviors, and practices within the targeted communities.

Islamic Relief Nepal is seeking a consultant or firm with expertise to develop high-quality documentary video. This should capture not only current GBV situation in the area but also the efforts made in the context of GARVA project and changes that happened in women/girls’ lives because of these efforts with an emphasis on progress achieved in terms of gender equality and prevention/reduction of GBV. All communications products have to meet the visibility requirement of donor organizations.

2. Objective of the assignment

The objective of this assignment is to capture high-quality photographs and produce high-quality video documentation that effectively showcase GARVA ongoing project activities and how the project is contributing to:

• Women’s economic empowerment, increased decision-making power, and control over resources
• Transformative changes in gender attitudes, roles, and behaviors
• Prevention and reduction of gender-based violence

Proposal submission

Interested individual consultants or firms are mandatory to submit the following documents by 30 April 2026 with the subject REF: Video Case Study-IRNP-GARVA to procurement@islamic-relief.org.np

• Letter of motivation (5 pages max.) indicating
  • The consultants’ suitability for the assignment and match previous work experience, qualifications etc.
  • How the team will be composed and the division of work between team members.
  • Work plan and suggested timetable.
• Professional profile of the consultant team/ company (CV of least lead consultant/team leader of consultancy team)
• Link to previous products and documents of similar nature produced by the consultant 
• Economic offer and budget breakdown.

For firms/agencies following additional documents must be submitted:

• Valid certificate of company registration
• Valid copy of tax registration certificate
• Tax clearance certificate
