Background of Everest Club, Dailekh

Everest Club (EC), established in 1993, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization based in Dailekh, Karnali Province. EC works in livelihoods, WASH, disaster risk reduction, health, education, and community resilience. With over three decades of experience, EC has successfully implemented a diverse range of development and humanitarian projects in partnership with government agencies, international donors, and local stakeholders. 

Background Context

POSHAN Nepal Project is a “Mother Child Wellbeing Partnership Program (MCWPP)" project. Local Partner NGO (Everest Club Dailekh) is conducting this project with the partnership of CARE Nepal & iDE Nepal, fund awarded by LATTER-DAY SAINT CHARITIES. The main objective of this project is to holistic improve the wellbeing of Children under five and mothers by building on the experience and proven approaches of the partners with an aim toward integrating these approaches to improve the overall health, nutrition and food systems in the planned countries. 

Objective:

To procure Digital Weight Machine for selected municipalities in Dailekh (Dungeshwor, Bhagwatimai, Thatikandh, Gurans Rural Municipalities, and Aathabish Municipality) to identify malnourished children.

Technical specifications:

Electronic scale for infants, children and adults.

Measuring range: up to 200 to 250 kg.

Minimum graduation: 100 g.

Accuracy: better than ±0.15% / ±100g for operating temperature of 0/45 °C and humidity up to 95%.

Precision: better than ±0.15% / ±100g for operating temperature of 0/45 °C and humidity up to 95%.

Taring function by push-button with the foot i.e. no need to bend over.

Main on/off button has a feature to prevent accidental switching on during transportation.

The on/off button is encased to be protected from rain, dust and humidity.

Power saving feature automatically turns off the scale after 2-6 minutes of non-use.

Light-grey coloured foot mat to avoid heating if exposed to direct sunlight.

With or without footprint markings to indicate correct standing position.

Levelling feet, non-removable, withstanding load of 300 kg.

The supplier must ensure safe transport, handling, and handover of Digital Weight Machine at delivery points of Everest Club, Dailekh.

Payment: 100% after delivery & verification via cheque/bank transfer. TDS applied as per Nepal law.

Note: EC reserves the right to accept/reject any quotation wholly or partially.
