 Background information 

Action for Nepal is a non-profit organization working to improve the living conditions of people in rural and underserved communities across Nepal. The organization primarily focuses on sectors such as public health, education, and access to clean drinking water, aiming to address basic service gaps in remote areas. It collaborates with local communities and partners to implement practical, community-driven development initiatives. Compared to larger NGOs, Action for Nepal operates on a smaller scale and often relies on donor support and partnerships to carry out its projects. Its work generally emphasizes sustainability, local engagement, and improving access to essential services for vulnerable populations.

We are seeking a qualified translator to translate a comprehensive public health document from English into Nepali. The document is approximately 200 pages in length and contains technical terminology related to public health.

Scope of Work

The selected translator will:

• Translate approximately 200 pages of content from English to Nepali.
• Ensure technical accuracy, especially for public health terminology.
• Maintain consistency in language, tone, and formatting.
• Review and proofread translated content before submission.
• Incorporate feedback and revisions as required by the project

Qualification Requirement

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Medicine, or a related field.
• Proven experience in translating technical/public health documents.
• Excellent command of both English and Nepali languages.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
