Village Development and Save the Environment Forum (VDSEF) Nepal is a non-profit organization working in Kalikot District for more than 31 years in the areas of child rights, health and nutrition, climate change, poverty reduction, and the protection and promotion of economic, social, and cultural rights of marginalized and disadvantaged communities. VDSEF Nepal works to promote peace, stability, and sustainable development in Kalikot.
The organization has extensive experience working with civil society organizations and government authorities to improve child rights, health and nutrition, climate resilience, livelihoods, and human rights of vulnerable groups, including women, single mothers, youth, children, persons with disabilities, senior citizens, Dalits, and ethnic minorities.
The SAHAYATRA-III Project is being implemented in Subhakalika Rural Municipality in partnership with Save the Children. The project aims to ensure that rural and vulnerable children have access to education, protection, resilience, and sexual and reproductive health services, leaving no child behind.
VDSEF Nepal is currently seeking applications from qualified Nepali citizens committed to delivering results for the following position:
Position: Supply Chain Officer-1 (One)
- Duty station: Project Office, Subhakalika Rural Municipality, Kalikot
- Report to: Admin and Finance Coordinator
- Salary and Benefits: As per the organization's norms commensurate with the project agreement
Summary:
The Supply Chain Officer will support the effective implementation of the SAHAYATRA-III Project in Subhakalika Rural Municipality by ensuring efficient supply chain, procurement, logistics, and asset management systems. Working closely with the Project Manager, Admin and Finance Coordinator, theme coordinators, and field teams, the position will ensure compliance with VDSEF Nepal and Save the Children financial, procurement, and safeguarding policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning and preparation of the final procurement plan and overall supply chain for the SAHAYATRA-III Project.
- Ensure quotation collection, procurement processes, and timely supply of materials in line with approved financial guidelines and compliance standards.
- Prepare and submit monthly logistics and stock reports to relevant project themes.
- Manage warehouse operations, including stock control, material security, stock-out reporting, and warehouse release systems.
- Maintain asset records and conduct regular physical verification in coordination with the Procurement Committee and Admin and Finance Coordinator.
- Manage day-to-day logistics and official arrangements required for project implementation.
- Maintain close coordination with the Save the Children finance and supply chain teams to ensure harmonization and compliance.
- Facilitate effective information sharing between Save the Children and VDSEF Nepal on supply chain and procurement matters.
- Support distribution of project materials and ensure proper data management and documentation of all logistics items.
- Conduct field visits for supervision and monitoring of logistics, distribution, and financial compliance at the field level.
- Collect feedback and lessons learned from stakeholders and relevant agencies to improve logistics systems.
- Prepare monthly, semi-annual, and annual logistics and distribution tracking reports and identify areas for improvement.
- Work closely with the MEAL and Documentation Coordinator to ensure project progress, quality standards, and timely corrective actions based on feedback.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Management, BBS, or BBA, Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management and project implementation
