VACANCY FOR SCHOOL TEACHER
The Gurkha Contingent, Singapore Police Force (GC, SPF) based in Singapore invites applications from qualified individuals for the post of School Teacher.
Brief Job Description
- To teach Pre-school (Kindergarten and Nursery) curriculum (English based) to Nepali children, ages 4 to 6 years to prepare them for the Singapore Primary School system.
- To teach Nepal Ministry of Education Nepali language curriculum to Nepali children, to prepare them for integration in Nepal.
Requirements

| Age | 22 – 30 years as of calendar year 2026 |
| Language Proficiency | Competent in both Nepali and English |
| Academic Qualification | Minimum 10+2 or equivalent (preferably major in English) |
| Teaching Experience | At least 3 years of experience in an English-medium Pre-school (Nursery or Kindergarten), with verifiable references |
| Specialized Training | Formal training in kindergarten or pre-school teaching |
| IT Skills | Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) with typing skills in Nepali and English |
| Desirable | Courses in Early Childhood Development and/or Pre-school leadership experience (certificate required) |
| Marital Status | Must be single or willing to serve unaccompanied if married |
Remuneration/Benefits
The successful candidate will be provided with the following:

Contract
The contract terms and conditions will be based upon the Singapore Civil Service, Terms and Conditions of Service.

Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates will be notified through GC SPF Representatives and called forward to sit a written assessment. Only those who are successful at the written assessment stage will proceed to the final interview, which is scheduled in end Aug 2026. Candidates are to produce all original documents during the interview.
Expected Work Start Date
The selected candidate is expected to travel to Singapore and commence work around the end of November 2026.
