Request for the Expression of Interest for the Statutory Audit, Tax Audit, and Project Audit for CARE Nepal
Who are we?
CARE has been operational in Nepal since 1978 and works in partnerships with government and non-government stakeholders across the spectrum of humanitarian action and long-term development programs. We create local solutions to poverty and inequality and seek dignity for everyone every day. CARE puts women and girls at the center of everything we do because they have proven to be the best hope for creating lasting change in the world.
CARE Nepal seeks proposals from qualified external auditors to conduct annual audits covering CARE-managed and partner-implemented program accounts in accordance to the Nepal Standards on Auditing (NSAs) issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal (ICAN) and donor-issued instructions. The audit will include verification of financial transactions, assessment of policy compliance, identification of risk areas, and recommendations for strengthening financial and internal controls. Auditors will review partners’ audit reports, verify auditor certifications, and may conduct sample-based partner audits as a part of CARE’s annual audit.
