About organization:

Nepal Voters' Right Forum (NVRF) is an inclusive network having representation of traditionally marginalized and excluded peoples' organizations working in the multi aspects of the human rights in Nepal. It works to ensure the rights of voters including diaspora of the most marginalized communities through various means of electoral education, sensible advocacy campaigns, capacity building and awareness-raising activities. 

NVRF envisions an informed, accountable politics and democratic governance by strengthening and institutionalizing participatory, proportionate, and inclusive democracy in the country. Moreover, NVRF has been advocating for representation of LGBTIQ+ and other marginalized communities through its dialogues, lobby and interaction with key stakeholders. However, the political participation and representation of LGBTIQ+ communities remain critically limited due to multiple intersecting barriers at the structural, institutional and societal levels. 

Consultancy Opportunity

NVRF is seeking qualified and experienced consultants to conduct a study on “Review existing party statutes, manifesto and best practices from LGBTIQ+ perspective and draft a model statute and manifesto.”

The overall objective of this analysis is to assess the extent of LGBTIQ+ inclusion in the statutes, manifestos, policies, and organizational practices of selected political parties, and develop evidence-based recommendations, including a model inclusive statute and manifesto, that strengthen the meaningful participation, representation, and rights of LGBTIQ+ people within political parties and democratic processes.
