Position: Project Officer - CCP

Duty Station: Kathmandu with frequent travel to project sites

Job Responsibilities and Main Duties

The Project Officer – Care Companion Program (CCP) will support overall program management and implementation of the “Adopting the Care Companion Program (CCP) for Nepal” at assigned hospitals. Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the role will provide technical and programmatic support for CCP implementation.

The position involves close coordination with project teams, hospital staff, and management to oversee implementation progress. Key responsibilities include facilitating Training, conducting program monitoring, organizing review meetings and refresher trainings for CCP-trained staff, and advocating with provincial governments and hospital management to ensure long-term resource allocation for CCP sustainability.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Iterations/product testing and feedback sharing

• Facilitate health workers training, hospital-level review meetings/ workshops, refresher training.
• Review existing IEC/BCC materials related with NCD and support to finalize IEC/BCC materials required for CCP sessions.
• Support materials design team to design and develop materials and programs required for CCP in close coordination with hospital staff and management team.
• Support a team of designers and content creators to implement our experimental design activities in the hospital. Share ground-level insights with our design team to guide the planning and implementation of experimental designs.
• Gather feedback on the experiments conducted by the team, supporting them in making various operations/content decisions

Coordination and communication

• Manage communications, coordination and public relationships with hospital staff, hospital management team and own team members and provincial government.
• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems with strong management and leadership skills.

Monitoring of the Care Companion Program at the Hospital

• Actively monitor the output data for the assigned hospital and work along with the monitoring and evaluation team to address the operational challenges identified during the monitoring process
• Conduct and supervise class quality audits for a randomly selected ward of hospitals every day.
• Monitor CCP dashboard in Superset platform regularly and coordinate with respected hospital team on flagged sessions conducted by CCP nurses.

Recording and Reporting:

• Develop, implement, monitor, and report digital health programs including related training and teaching-learning materials.
• Monitor the hospital training session logs
• Report them on the prescribed digital platform and ensure the data quality is maintained 
• Provide required reports (event reports, monthly and quarterly reports)
• Collect any relevant qualitative and quantitative data as per the needs of the organization
• Support team in digital aspects of the CCP program including its database development, maintenance, and report generation
• Performs other duties, as assigned by supervisor and team members.

Teamwork and Additional Duties:

• Contribute to team-based activities, work collaboratively, share information openly, and pursue common goals with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
• Participate in different meetings, trainings, workshop, events and seminars as required for the organization.

Additional responsibilities, as assigned by the Line Manager or management, to meet activity/organizational needs and requirements.

Job Specifications (minimum job requirements):

Academic qualification and work experience:

• Bachelor's degree in health science from a recognized university.
• At least two years of experience in the related field.

Skills and abilities:

• Strong understanding of Nepalese MNCH, NCD and health system structures, functions, and challenges in the context of Nepal’s federalized health systems.
• Excellent monitoring & analysis, documentation and reporting skills in both English and Nepali.
• Prior experience in digital health activities and skills on digital tools such as Kobo, Survey CTO etc.
• Prior experience SBCC materials reviewing and development.
• Ability to work independently and travel frequently within the assigned project areas.
• Practical experience in facilitation and negotiation skills with counterparts/stakeholders at different levels.
