The Rural Region and Agroforestry Development Centre (RRAFDC) is a non-profit organization located in Kalaiya Sub-Metropolitan City, Bara, Nepal, established in 24 Mar 2000 AD. It aims to build a fair, self-reliant, and resilient society by supporting disadvantaged and marginalized communities in rural areas. RRAFDC specializes in socio-economic empowerment and sustainable development through initiatives in livelihood promotion, environmental conservation, education, gender equality, and disaster management. The organization collaborates with national and international partners to strengthen community capacities and advocate for equitable policies, ensuring the voices of underserved populations are heard. RRAFDC emphasizes local resource mobilization and community engagement to create meaningful change and enhance the well-being of vulnerable groups. RRAFDC invites applications from qualified and experienced Nepalese citizens for the following positions for an anticipated project;

1. Program Manager (PM) – 01 position

The Programme Manager is the senior manager accountable for the overall leadership of the BRAVE Project and is responsible for guiding its technical direction, operational delivery, internal management and external relationships. The post-holder ensures that approved activities and resources are delivered on time, within budget and to a high standard, in line with the project proposal, results framework, work plans, RRAFDC policies, Government of Nepal requirements and the grant conditions of Childaid Network Foundation Nepal.

Working with vulnerable households, particularly out-of-school children, marginalised youth, women and smallholder farmers, the Programme Manager will drive improved access to learning, vocational skills, entrepreneurship and sustainable livelihood opportunities in Parwanipur Rural Municipality.

Job Location: RRAFDC Central Office, Kalaiya, Bara, with regular field visits to Parwanipur Rural Municipality 

Qualification: Master’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Education, Rural Development, Management, Agriculture or a related field; a relevant bachelor’s degree with substantial experience may be considered. 

• Master’s degree at least 5 years or Bachelor’s degree at least 7 years of relevant experience in project or programme management in the development sector, preferably leading donor-funded community development, education, livelihoods, GESI/social norms, or youth and women's empowerment projects.
