ASN has been engaged in developing and implementing programs aimed at protection, promotion, and fulfillment of child rights in Nepal. Currently ASN has been working in 20 districts under 6 Thematic Areas as: Education/Child Protection, Women Empowerment, Livelihood/ Natural Resource Management, Disaster Risk Reduction, Health/ Nutrition and Good Governance.

Aasaman Nepal is implementing "Women's Economic Mainstreaming for Empowerment, Rights and Gender Equality (Women EMERGE) in 10 LGUs in three provinces (Madhesh, Karnali and Sudurpaschim) supported by UN Women, and invites applications from dedicated and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position based in Kathmandu with frequent field travel. 

1.     Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation Officer- 1 Nos 

Duty Station: Lalitpur with frequent field travel 

Overview: 

The Monitoring, Reporting and Documentation (MRD) Officer plays a crucial role in overseeing the effective implementation, monitoring and evaluation of Women EMERGE program in all 10 LGUs of three provinces. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in monitoring and evaluation, data management, and program development. The MRD Officer will maintain program data and reports, prepare templates, and manage the effective recording and reporting of disaggregated data. MRD officer will be responsible to prepare high- quality narrative and quantitative reports, collaborating closely with the project partners, local communities and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives and compliance with UN Women quality standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management of Program Data:

  • Establish and maintain systems for collecting, managing, and analyzing program data.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of program data.
  • Implement quality control measures to enhance the reliability of collected data.

2. Analytical Data Presentation:

  • Utilize strong analytical skills to present program data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Prepare reports and visualizations highlighting key insights and trends.
  • Provide evidence- based recommendations for program improvement.

3. Support to Project Team Members:

  • Offer evidence- based support to the Team Leader and other team members for effective planning.
  • Contribute to data- driven decision- making processes within the organization.
  • Ensure adherence to data management protocols and standards. 
  • Provide training and resources to enhance the team's data management skills.

4. Template Preparation and Program Guidance:

  • Develop and maintain templates for data collection and reporting.
  • Provide guidance to the program team on effective use of templates and data management tools.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to improve the efficiency of data collection processes.
  • Utilize statistical software for data analysis and interpretation.

5. Recording and Reporting of Disaggregated Data and Program Reports:

  • Effectively manage the recording and reporting of disaggregated data.
  • Ensure compliance with privacy and confidentiality standards when handling disaggregated data.
  • Promote inclusivity and address disparities through the use of disaggregated data.
  • Prepare high- quality narrative and quantitative reports.
  • Ensure reports meet organizational standards and donor requirements.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to incorporate feedback into reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in development studies, Gender/Women’s study/social science or related field.
  • At least two years of relevant proven experience as a MEAL Officer or in similar role. 
  • Prior experience working in program related to women empowerment, vocational skill training, GESI, gender transformative and social norms, disability and inclusion etc. 
  • Strong proficiency in data management and analysis.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem- solving skills.
  • Excellent report writing skills in English.

Languages

Strong command of Nepali, English (oral and written) and local language preferred/required.
