buildOn Nepal, Dhangadhi, Kailali, invites applications from energetic, experienced, and self-motivated Nepali citizens with strong backgrounds in building construction, community mobilization, and a high level of professional work ethic for the following positions. buildOn Nepal is committed to supporting formal and non-formal education for poor and disadvantaged rural communities in the Madhesh Province.

1. Construction Manager Engineer (CME) – 1 Position

Duty Station: buildOn Nepal working areas (Madhesh Province)

Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Skills and Competencies

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and supervising building construction projects.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in community-based programs.
• Willingness to spend at least 80% of working time on field sites.
• Coordinate and work closely with local government units to ensure smooth implementation of school construction projects.
• Ability to make frequent field visits and stay overnight in rural villages.
• Strong community mobilization and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage construction projects according to approved plans and specifications.
• Strong training design and facilitation skills.
• High-level proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant computer applications.
• Strong reporting and documentation skills.
• Willingness to travel to remote areas.
• Motorbike driving skills with a valid driving license.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, Nepali, and local language.
• Ability to perform additional duties assigned by the Country Director.

2. Field Coordinator – School Building Construction Program (2 Positions)

Duty Station: buildOn Nepal working areas (Madhesh Province)

Qualification: Civil Sub-Overseer level passed from a recognized institution

Responsibilities

• Work closely with rural communities to facilitate school construction activities.
• Spend at least 90% of working time in field sites.
• Make frequent field visits and stay overnight in villages as required.
• Prepare reports as needed by the organization.
• Support effective management, coordination, and regulation of field operations.
• Maintain strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, email/internet, and AutoCAD.
• Support human resource and social mobilization processes.
• Assist in quality estimation and quality control at construction sites.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Construction Manager Engineer or the Country Director.

Required Competencies

• Strong community mobilization skills.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building construction.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in Nepali and English.
• Excellent skills in MS Office, email/internet, and AutoCAD.
• Motorbike driving skills with a valid license (mandatory).

Required Documents (for both positions)

1. Cover letter with a recent passport-sized photograph, email address, and contact number.
2. Updated CV with at least two references.
3. Photocopies of citizenship, driving license, experience letter, and relevant academic certificates.
4. (For CME applicants) Nepal Engineering Council registration certificate.
