DidiBahini is a well-established, self-sustaining nonprofit organization dedicated to education and empowerment. It brings together a multidisciplinary team of committed individuals working towards achieving gender equity through participatory learning approaches. With extensive experience, the organization is widely recognized at the grassroots level as well as among NGOs, INGOs, and government agencies.

DidiBahini calls for Volunteers to become a Citizen Journalist! Are you passionate about storytelling and media? Do you want to raise your voice against social issues and inspire positive change in your community?

DidiBahini is looking for vibrant and enthusiastic youths to join as Citizen Journalists volunteers and help bring untold community stories to light. If you are a fresher eager to gain hands-on experience in storytelling and journalism, this could be your opportunity to build a meaningful future. We strongly encourage applications from Dalit, Indigenous, religious minority, LGBTQI+, and other marginalized communities.

Position: Citizen Journalist (Volunteer)

Location: Lahan /Surunga/ Triyuga

What You’ll Get

Who Can Apply?

• Strong interest in media, storytelling, and content sharing
• Commitment to feminist, rights-based, and ethical storytelling principles
• Curious and passionate about community issues, change, and social justice
• Minimum 12th grade with good writing skills (local language and/or English)
• Confident in communication, interviewing, and willing to travel and participate in trainings
