CALL FOR EXPERTS

DAI is seeking applications from expert consultants for the Millennium Challenge Account-Nepal (MCA-Nepal) Like-For-Like Compensatory Plantation project activity. Individuals with the following expertise are encouraged to apply.

PositionRequired Qualification
1. Community Engagement Manager (for Base and Option)/Required -1
  • Bachelor’s degree in human geography, sociology or equivalent.
  • 7 years of experience on projects or programs involving both government agencies and community- based organizations (preferably forest user groups) in Nepal.
  • Preference for ability to speak minority languages in the area e.g. Tharu and/or others.
2. Contracts Manager (for Base and Option) Required-1
  • Degree in natural resource management or Engineering or related discipline
  • 7 years of experience in management roles or contract management in projects in Nepal, preferably in donor funded projects.
3. Resident Engineer (for Base and Option)/ Required-1
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • 7 years of experience in construction supervision of infrastructure projects in Nepal
4. Community Liaison Officers (2 for Base and 1 for Option – Total 3 No.)/Required 1
  • Bachelor’s degree in a discipline with relevance to working with communities in natural resource management such as forestry, agriculture, teaching, sociology or development studies.
  • 5 years of experience in support to community-based organizations in Nepal, preferably with some of that time spent in the Terai
  • Knowledge and experience working on social analysis including in addressing issues that affect women and men
5. Civil Engineer (2 for Base and 1 for Option – total 3No.)/Required 1
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
  • 5 years of experience as a works overseer
6. GIS & Mapping Specialist/Required 1
  • Master’s degree in survey, GIS or other relevant discipline
  • 10 years of experience in preparation of GIS based maps and information in Nepal
7. Store / Book- keeper/Required 1
  • Secondary Education Examination certificate or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in computer operation and use of spreadsheet or accounting software
  • 5 years of prior experience in office administration.
