Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC) / Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF)

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

MADE Nepal invites applications from qualified and motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions under the USDA Food for Progress – Aquaculture Development in Nepal Project, suppored by Lutheran World Relief:

1. Aquaculture Field Coordinator (AFC)

Number of Position: 1

Duty Station: Rupandehi, with frequent travel to Chitwan and Nawalparasi West.

Major Responsibilities:

The Aquaculture Field Coordinator will support field-level implementation of aquaculture activities, including farmer training and capacity building, demonstration farms, technical field support, farmer mobilization, stakeholder coordination, value-chain linkages, monitoring, reporting, and documentation.

Minimum Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Fisheries/Aquaculture, Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, or a related field. Relevant experience in aquaculture, fisheries development, farmer training, field coordination, or value-chain development will be an advantage.

2. Aquaculture Field Facilitator (AFF)

Number of Positions: As per project requirement

Duty Station: Project areas in Chitwan and Rupandehi

Major Responsibilities:

The Aquaculture Field Facilitator will support farmer group formation and mobilization, training and capacity-building activities, farm visits, access to aquaculture inputs and markets, demonstration ponds, farmer record keeping, data collection, and regular field-level reporting.

Minimum Qualification:

• Minimum +2/Diploma in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Veterinary Technician, Agribusiness, or related field. Prior experience or training in the fisheries/aquaculture sector will be an advantage. Candidates should preferably be local residents of the respective project municipality.
