Aafanta Nepal (KIN NEPAL) is a national-level not-for-profit non-governmental organization (NGO), established in 2008 in Lalitpur to end human trafficking in Nepal by transforming broken individuals and strengthening communities, enhancing and ensuring their human rights, justice, and self-dignity. KIN is all set to transform the lives of broken and rescued young women/girls and their communities physically and mentally, through rescue and rehabilitation, counseling, capacity building, empowerment, and community reintegration. With this strategy, KIN seeks to prioritize its program activities on Prevention, Protection, and Prosecution, along with improving coordination, alliance building, and advocacy against human trafficking, gender-based violence, and sexual exploitation of women in Nepal.
We are looking for dynamic, qualified, and self-motivated Female Nepalese citizens for the following positions:
Position: | Advocacy & Case Management /Legal Officer (One) |
Location: | Head Office, Lalitpur with at least 70% visit to KIN Nepal's Safe Home and Field Offices. |
Job Summary: | The Legal & Case Management Officer will lead the legal response to cases of human trafficking and gender-based violence (GBV), ensuring justice and protection for survivors through legal counseling, coordination with stakeholders, and strategic litigation support. |
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
Education | Bachelor’s Degree in Law from recognized university with at least two years of practical experience in advocacy and counselling on the issues related to Human Trafficking and GBV Survivors. The potential candidate must be Licensed Advocate, registered with Nepal Bar Council. |
Knowledge, Skills & Experience | Previous experience in advocacy, social work, or a related field, particularly in working with survivors of trauma and abuse; Empathy, compassion, and the ability to establish rapport with survivors from diverse backgrounds; Knowledge of the dynamics of human trafficking, trauma-informed care, and crisis intervention techniques; Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with survivors, professionals, and the community; Excellent psychosocial counseling skills; Cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with survivors from various cultural backgrounds; Familiarity with local and national resources for survivors, including legal, medical, and mental health services; In-depth understanding of legal and ethical considerations related to survivor confidentiality and privacy; Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously; Commitment to the principles of social justice and advocacy for vulnerable populations; Willingness to undergo background checks and training related to working with survivors of human trafficking; In-depth knowledge and experience of Human Trafficking and Transportation (Control) Act, 2064 and related laws including general law of Nepal; Strong writing and communication skills, including documentation of program results, case management; Serving attitude with a leadership trait, Must demonstrate advanced communication skills both in Nepali & English for maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Knowledge of Transformational Development, Gender & Development, Human Trafficking & GBV. |

Job Summary: | The Paralegal Assistant will support the legal and case management team in documentation, community outreach, and providing basic legal guidance to survivors and at-risk individuals. |
Minimum Qualifications and Experience Required
Education | Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB), completed or awaiting result with Strong interest in women’s rights, human rights, and justice (Preference will be given to candidates with Paralegal Training). |
Knowledge, Skills & Experience | Willingness to work with vulnerable populations in both office and field settings; Good understanding of laws related to human trafficking, GBV, and child protection; Attention to detail in maintaining case files and preparing reports; Ability to engage with communities and conduct awareness activities. |
