Nepal National Social Welfare Association (NNSWA) established itself in 1990. In 1994, NNSWA registered with the District Administration Office Kanchanpur and affiliated to Social Welfare Council Kathmandu. NNSWA has grown over the years, implementing various integrated community based development programs in Far Western Region being one of the leading development organizations in the Sudur Paschim Province of Nepal. NNSWA has 107 General Members who constitute the General Assembly of NNSWA. 11 members of this General Assembly constitute an Executive Committee. Executive Members are elected by the General assembly for a term of 5 years. The Executive Committee has 6 Office Bearers (President, Vice-president, General Secretary, Secretary, Treasurer and Vice-treasurer) and 5 Executive Members. 40% of General Assembly and Executive Committee members are female. NNSWA has its district chapters at Dadeldhura, Baitadi and Darchula districts and other district NNSWA helping committee are existed and providing services in all 9 districts within the Sudur Paschim Province, Nepal. The Executive Committee is the legally constituted body responsible for providing strategic and policy direction to the organization. NNSWA has its own office building having sufficient rooms and training hall at Bheemdatt Municipality-18 in Kanchanpur district.

Nepal National Social welfare Association (NNSWA) is a non-governmental and non-profitable organization working since 1990 with "vision of an equitable society" and focuses on 3D community (Dalit, Disable and Deprived). There are various integrated programs running in the organization with the financial and technical support of INGO and donors. 

Currently Nepal National Social welfare Association (NNSWA) has made a partnership agreement with World Vision International Nepal (WVIN) to implement Protect and Community Engagement Sponsorship Technical Programme (PCESP), under Goal of Children are Loved, Protect and Empowerment and Inclusive Quality Education Technical Programme (IQE), under the Goal of Improved  Equitable Access to Inclusive & Quality Education for most vulnerable Children at Basic Level (up to Grade -8) in Kanchanpur District. 

To implement the PCESP and IQE projects NNSWA announce the vacancy for fulfilling the following staffs as descried details.

1. Post:  Project Coordinator 

Duty Station:  Kanchanpur

Required number:  1 (One)

Summary of the Job:

This position expects to have agile leadership to manage multiple priorities, adapting to change and incorporate learning in the programme and managerial scope. The incumbent is expected to maintain a good coordination and collaboration with internal and relevant external stakeholders to effectively manage programme. Along with this, there should be strong focus on programme sustainability efforts as envisioned by the given projects and programme.  This position expects to maintain a strong professionalism and role modeling for the team and others to demonstrate integrity, accountability, passion, commitment and strong team spirit. The incumbent should be able to work independently and interdependently managing every kind of situation and contexts. The major responsibilities with relevant key capabilities stated below are envisioned to be able to lead the organization meeting the expected deliverables confidently.

Academic Qualification and Experience:  

  • Bachelor Degree in Education, management, social science or business studies with minimum 5 years working experience in managing multiple projects with diverse team or  
  • Master degree in the relevant field, management, social science of business studies preferred with minimum of 3 years of work experience in managing multiple projects with diverse team 
  • Proven ability to manage risks and promote governance to contribute on strategic outcomes 
  • Experience working with children and their wellbeing in both development or emergency contexts 

2.  Post:   Finance Officer

Summary of the Job:

This position will be responsible for providing overall Financial, admin and supply chain support to the organisation and ensure that all the financial truncations are adhered to the required financial compliance of the organization, donor and governmental compliances, which includes payment and disbursements; financial analysis and reporting for the achievement of overall organization and project goal.

Sector Knowledge:

  • General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Good command of English & Nepali languages (written & spoken)
  • Practical knowledge of project budgeting, accounting & reporting
  • Able to articulate and communicate ideas well verbally and in writing

3.  Post:   Program Officer Education + PCESP

Summary of the Job:

The purpose of this position is to lead on providing education programming technical support, capacity building and coordination across project team and they are equipped with the competencies and tools to effectively implement Inclusive and Quality Education Technical Programme and Community Engagement and Sponsorship Plan (CESP) and achieve the education related programme targets/strategic objectives. The position is responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive technical support plan for the Inclusive and Quality Education Technical Programme. The role is responsible for drafting and rolling out all necessary technical tools, quality benchmarks and guidance materials to support quality program implementation, under technical leadership from Project Manager/Coordinator. The role provides support and back stopping for external relationship building and engagement with government line agencies, other district based organizations. This role is responsible to ensure the quality programme provide on-site support of Field Officer (Education) and Mobilizers.

Sector Knowledge:

  • Government training  module, package , TPD framework , national curriculum, grade wise objectives and competencies  (focused on Literacy, School Safety, Community based advocacy)
  • Government policy, programme priorities, needs and issues in relation the sector priorities
  • Sound knowledge on Early Grade Reading  Programme and tools, CSSF master plan and CSSF framework
  • Well informed and disseminate message to Education Sector TA, TP and priorities, project model (Early Grade Reading, School Safety, and CVA)

Academic Qualification and Experience: 

  • Bachelor (Masters Preferred) in Education or relevant discipline with three year of experience in Education project (preferably Early Grade Reading, School Safety, and/or Community based advocacy projects). Two years of work experience as trainer (education related e.g. teachers’ trainers) is must. 

4.   Post:  MEAL Officer 

Duty Station:   Kanchanpur

Summary of the Job:

Under overall supervision and direction of board chairperson/board program focal person and direct technical supervision of the Programme Manager, the purpose of the position will be responsible to provide technical support to program team on recording, compiling, verifying, analyzing and updating programme information, support programme in conducting quality monitoring visit, monitor complaint feedback system and provides periodic feedback to the programme team for data based decision making. Furthermore, this position will provide necessary support to Partner of NNSWA (WVI) Nepal for periodic baseline, evaluation and outcome monitoring process in the assigned program areas and to improve the quality of programmes and information management through improved monitoring and accountability system in the programme areas;

Academic Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science or development studies in the field relevant to MEAL. At least 2 years of experience working with Civil Society Organization in the field of monitoring, evaluation accountability and learning sector.

5.  Post:   Sponsorship Quality Officer 

Duty Station:  Kanchanpur

Summary of Job:

The purpose of this position is to manage and control quality of all sponsorship core business processes of the AP. This position is expected to ensure sponsorship minimum programming standard, sponsorship programming tools and adherence to Sponsorship standards while implementing sponsorship activities. It requires managing the Sponsorship Systems desktop application and data management to ensure the quality of data and efficient management of sponsorship systems. It also requires ensuring the quality control and management of correspondences and all photos and videos production in sponsorship. This is an office-based position but will involve frequent visits to the communities for monitoring of registered children and mobilizers to check the quality of sponsorship business activities. Regular and direct communication with Sponsorship Field Coordinators for sponsorship related matters would have to be done. Beside regular communication with implementing partners, this position requires to lead and supervise the work of CESP mobilizers with regards to Sponsorship Business processes.

Academic Qualification, Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field with at least two years’ experience in Development Sector

Summary of the Job:

Field Officers-UL will be based in community and will work with a certain number (up to 5) of schools and their reading camps in respective areas. With support from Education Officer (Technical), Field Officer will work with teachers, SMC and reading camp facilitators (RCFs) to build their capacity on various aspects of education project (inclusive education, early grade reading, school safety, and local level advocacy). Key duties includes; carry out Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) situation assessment, carry out observation visits to trained teachers & reading camp facilitators and provide on-site support, work with CVA working group to facilitate the local level advocacy process, collect beneficiary information and support to update the database.

Academic Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelors in Education or relevant discipline with two year of experience in Education project (preferably Early Grade Reading, Inclusive Education, School Safety, and/or Community based advocacy projects)

7.  Post:   Field Officer- Protection

Summary of Job:

The Field Officer- Protection will oversee the implementation of the Child Protection project in the respective district/AP ensuring compliance of project sectoral and quality standards, Government’s policies and industry norms as provided to their role. The role will be responsible for implementing the project and monitoring the performance of field mobilizers, ensuring that project staffs have access to appropriate technical and functional support, and managing relationships with sectoral key stakeholders including Local Governments at the field level. 

Academic Qualification and Experience

Summary of Job:

PCESP mobilizers will be based in the community and will facilitate implementation of Community Engagement Sponsorship Plan’s interventions at the community level to ensure that children are loved, protected and empowered and that the communities contribute towards child wellbeing outcomes. The position will facilitate strong community and partner engagement and ownership of child sponsorship; develop sponsorship activities that promote children’s participation and well-being; foster meaningful relationships and communication between children and sponsors; and monitor and track RC’s presence and wellbeing. 

Academic Qualification and Experience: 

  • Higher Secondary degree (+ 2) in any relevant field [Essential]
  • Higher Secondary degree (+ 2) in any relevant field with more than 1 years’ experience in Sponsorship Field. [preferred]

Sector Knowledge:

  • Understanding of poverty issues, development theories and sustainable development practices and knowledge on child rights 
  • Strong understanding of community dynamics with skills to communicate and build rapport with children and community
  • Good translation skills both English to Nepali and vice versa [Preferred]
  • Strong coordination skills with local level stakeholders (Parents, school management committee, child clubs, health institutions, M/Rural municipality, wards, cooperatives and various community groups)

9. Post: Field Mobilizer Protection

Summary of Job:

Field Mobilizers Protection will be based in community and will work with a certain number of wards/ local child rights/protection committees, police and groups like children and life skills groups, parents, parents, teachers, ward office, and other NGO sign in respective areas. With support from Field Officer-Protection, Field Mobilizer will work with the above stakeholders to build their capacity on strengthening child protection system, access of system, building confidence of children through life skills and creating protective environment at schools, homes and communities. Key duties includes; Building capacity of ward level stakeholders including municipalities sometime, Building capacity of children through life skills, Organize/facilitate Local child rights committee meetings, life skills group meeting; Produce monthly progress report of respective local child rights committee, life skills group. S/he will be also responsible to guide and mobilize Young Champion/Leaders/ Peer Educators to ensure effective implementation and documentation of and of life skills group interventions of the project. 

Academic Qualification and Experience

Intermediate (10+2) in relevant discipline with at least 2 years experiences on child protection projects in similar capacity or having strong social mobilization skills 

Sector Knowledge/competency:

  • Knowledge on empowerment approaches and able to mobilize of Communities 
  • Basic Knowledge on child protection system and protection of children
  • Basic Knowledge on life skills approach 
  • Basic understanding on community system strengthening to protect children in the community
