1. Background

The Good Shepherd International Foundation (GSIF) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization for development cooperation that works to support children, women and local communities in the fight against poverty and inequalities and promotes sustainable development across the globe. The Good Shepherd International Foundation Nepal (GSIF Nepal) supports programs that strive to protect and promote human rights for these people, to create the conditions for economic justice within society, and to change unjust systems.

GSIF Nepal is currently implementing a project entitled Acting Against Sexual exploitation, Trafficking and Human Atrocity (AASTHA). As a part of the project, a short awareness video will be developed focusing on online safety and mental health. The video will serve as a tool for wider visibility, public awareness and advocacy on these issues.

2. Objective of the Consultancy

The overall objective of this consultancy is to conceptualize, develop and produce an awareness video that clearly communicates key messages related to online safety and mental well- being, targeting the general public and relevant stakeholders, with focus on girls and youth.

3. Timing and Duration

The work should be completed no later than 15th December, 2025. The video will be shoot in Kathmandu Valley. The assignment requires to work 10 days with the following breakdown of the working days:

Tentative timeline: 1st December to 15th December, 2025

Location: Kathmandu Valley.

4. Methodology and responsibilities

The consultant will carry out the following duties and responsibilities during the course of assignment:

a. Reviewing relevant documents and participating in orientation sessions provided by the team of GSIF Nepal.

b. Develop and share the script of the video.

c. Shoot the video in Kathmandu.

d. Develop animated elements and incorporate where required with the script.

e. Develop the draft video and share with GSIF Nepal for feedback and suggestions.

f. Finalize the video incorporating the suggestions and feedback received.

g. Submit the final video to GSIF Nepal.

5. Deliverables

The consultant will provide the following key deliverables for this assignment:

a. Submit the script of the video documentary by 3rd December, 2025.

b. Submit the draft video of approx. 5 minutes by 10th December, 2025. 

c. Submit fully produced documentary in 1080p (HD) resolution by 15th December, 2025.

The content of video must be prepared in Nepali language with English subtitle.

6. Required qualifications and experiences:

One company/ firm or expert will be hired for this assignment. The firm/company or expert should have following qualifications and experiences:

a. At least 2 years of experience in producing documentaries or short in social issues such as online safety, mental health, anti-human trafficking, human rights or related themes.

b. Proven experience in outstanding videography, sound mixing, editing skills and producing quality documentaries. 

c. The firm/company or expert must have sufficient equipment/infrastructure to complete the assignment.

d. The expert or firm/company must be registered in VAT.

e. The expert must submit the document of past accomplishments in conducting similar assignments preferably on the issues of anti-human trafficking, work in adult entertainment sectors.

7. How to apply:

Interested individuals or firms/companies are encouraged to submit an Expression of interest along with the following information and documents: 

a. Letter of interest.

b. Financial proposal along with a detailed budget breakdown, including travel.

c. Number of personnel to be involved and updated CVs of the technical team of documentary production.

d. Copy of VAT registration certificate.

e. Summary/list of past accomplishments.

f. Firms / Companies submitting EOI are requested to submit the firm's/company's legal registration, Tax clearance certificate of the latest fiscal year and VAT registration.

The application package, along with all the documents mentioned above, should be submitted by email to gsif.nepal@gsif.it no later than 21st November, 2025. 

GSIF Nepal reserves the right to qualify or disqualify any or all of the applications and will not be obliged to give any reasons in either case.
