Technical Officer / Forester

Mahuli Community Development Center (MCDC) is one of a non-governmental organization working in Saptari district since 1994 It works for various social developmental activities coordinating with developing partners and government organization. MCDC Nepal is implementing the Habitat for Humanity International Nepal (HFHI) supported program titled “CHHANA program” shelter support to ultra-poor, vulnerable, marginalized, and landless families in partnership of government in province No. 2, we invite applications from interested and qualified Nepali citizens for the following position: The positions are located in Saptari and Siraha district field office.

1.  Technical Officer (Civil Sub-engineer) -1 position

The position is based in Saptari and Siraha district with frequent visit to the project locations. The technical officer is responsible She/he is responsible for finalization, technical feasibility, design/ drawing, endorsement, and quality monitoring, including ensuring the functionality of the systems. The position will support the capacity building of field staffs and coordinates closely with government’s technical department to ensure project work is in line with their guidelines and compliance as well.

Qualification and experiences: Nepali citizen, at least 2 years of similar experience with I/NGOs and government especially in Terai region of Nepal having Diploma in Civil engineering, or equivalent degree from the recognized university and Experience in house construction.

2.  Forester – 1 position

The position is based in Saptari and Siraha district with frequent visit to the project locations. The position holder is responsible for overall management and Implementation of Housing construction Bamboo and Bamboo Entrepreneurship related component. She/he will lead the planning, implementation and monitoring of Bamboo works of the project and its Entrepreneurship of Bamboo supply and plantation for potential Farmers in Saptari and Siraha district and ensure the overall achievement of project outcomes related to house construction and bamboo entrepreneurship development. Qualification and Experiences:

Nepali citizen having At least 2 years of similar experience with I/NGOs and government especially in Terai region of Nepal. I.Sc in forestry and or relevant field, solid working experience on Agro forestry with bamboo plantation, farming and quality control, treatment and marketing of bamboo as a business and having creative idea and skill on bamboo business promotion through entrepreneurship.
