Background Information:
Introduction:
Social Organization District Coordination Committee Parsa (SODCC Parsa) is a reputed and non-profitable organization which is established in 1994 and registered district administration office Parsa under the government rules and is also affiliated in Social Welfare Council. Now it has been working for the children and women in Madhesh Province to improve the status of children and women specially focus on the area of education, health, sanitation, child protection, gender-based violence reduction, poverty alleviation, women empowerment, awareness raising and emergency response. Also, it has been working for the capacity enhancement of youth, organizational management, community mobilization, and leadership development of women, children and stakeholders for well planning and program implementation.
SODCC Parsa, in partnership with Restless Development, is implementing the Global Girls Creating Change (G2C2) Project in Parsa (Sakhuwa Prasauni RM), Bara (Baragadhi RM), Rautahat (Maulapur NP), and Sarlahi (Ramnagar RM) districts of Madhesh Province. The project's overall goal is to foster and elevate a diverse movement of girl-centered climate action to lead, shape, and inform equitable, inclusive climate policies and actions.
Social Mobilizer key responsibilities:
- Key focal point for the local level coordination and communication.
- Organizing local-level meetings, group discussions, and activity orientations.
- Support the formation and mobilization of the Palika-level Girls clubs.
- In collaboration with local governments, community and Girls clubs, conduct community dialogue, campaign and other awareness and advocacy initiatives.
- Implementation of community mobilization activities, monitors follow-up and documents best practices.
- Day to day supervision to Girls’ Champions.
- Identifying and engaging with target communities, groups, and individuals to raise awareness about climate change and gender.
- Building strong relationships with local stakeholders including community leaders, CSOs, government agencies, and other relevant entities.
- Prepare regular reports on progress, achievements, and challenges, develop case Stories, and submit monthly, and quarterly reports as per the requirement to the supervisor.
- Adhere to organization and funding agency policies, including Child Protection, HR, Financial, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) policies.
- Comply with organization rules and regulations and maintain communication as required.

- Additional responsibilities as assigned by line manager or executive board of SODCC Parsa.
Requirements
- +2/intermediate or equivalent (similar field).
- At least one year of working experience at the community level and related field.
- Good understanding of the local scenario.
- Good command of written and verbal in Nepali and local languages.
- Have training and facilitation skills with a good understanding of the local environment and life skills.
- Have skills to train and work with girls and women.
- Have social mobilization skills to work with different communities and situations.
