LI-BIRD has been implementing “Scaling up Climate Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Livelihoods of Smallholder Farmers in Nepal” in the Sindhupalchok and Kaski districts of Nepal since October 2018 with funding support from Bread for the World (BftW), Germany. The project aims to enhance the livelihoods and build the resilience of smallholder and women farmers through the promotion of Climate Resilient Agricultural (CRA) technologies and practices.

LI-BIRD invites applications from eligible Nepali citizens who are reliable, accountable, committed, and have the ability to deliver results with the highest integrity for the following positions:

Senior Technical Assistant (Level 5) -1 (based at Sindhupalchowk)

Job Summary: The Senior Technical Assistant reports to the Programme Officer and will be primarily responsible for implementing day to day field level activities for the ‘Scaling up Climate Resilient Agriculture for Sustainable Livelihoods of Smallholder Farmers in Nepal Phase II’ project. The Senior Technical Assistant needs to work closely with individual farmers, groups, cooperatives, local government and market actors to plan, implement and coordinate the project activities at the community level.

Education and Experience: Intermediate or JT/JTA degree in Agriculture (Animal Science). Candidates with more than five years of work experience in a rural setting are preferred.
