Mercy Corps Nepal works to build the absorptive,
adaptive and transformative potential of vulnerable individuals and communities
across Nepal. The goal is attained through a systems based approach to market
development, financial services, disaster risk reduction, climate change
adaptation and youth engagement. Mercy Corps began its operation in Nepal in
2005, with projects focusing on the sectors of economic and food security;
climate, natural resource and disaster risk management; youth engagement; with
the inclusion of women and disadvantaged groups as important cross-cutting
themes throughout each intervention area.
STEM II:
Supporting the Education of Marginalised Girls in Kailali (STEM II) is an education project funded by the UK Department for International Development under the Girls Education Challenge (GEC). The project, led by Mercy Corps along with its implementing partner Backward Society Education (BASE), aims to improve the opportunities and outcomes of more than 6,000 marginalised girls in the Kailali district in the Far-West region of Nepal. To do this, the project cultivates an enabling environment, so girls are likely to stay in school, obtain higher levels of math and literacy scores and successfully transition through key milestones.
The project works in 30 schools across Kailali District in one sub-metropolitan city (Dhangadhi), three municipalities (Ghodhaghodhi, Gauriganga, Tikapur), and two rural municipalities (Bardagoriya, Kailari).

Interested firms/Individuals should submit their proposal along with the copies of company registration, tax registration, latest tax clearance certificates,curriculum vita,(in case of Firm) and curriculum vita/profile, experience letters, recommendations, PAN/VAT registration certificate(in case of Individuals)to np-procurement@mercycorps.org no later than 16thDecember, 2019.The incomplete proposals or proposals received after closing date will not be considered.
Only shortlisted organizations and individuals will be contacted for further process. Canvassing at any stage of the process shall lead to automatic disqualification of the application. Mercy Corps reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals without assigning any reason.
