Swisscontact is an International Non-Governmental Organisation which started its operations in 1991 with the Training Institute for Technical Instruction Programme. At present, Swisscontact’s Nepal portfolio consists of five development programmes across all the seven Provinces and has a well-functioning country office that employs over 80 national and international staff. 

Swisscontact Nepal is also implementing the UK Government’s Foreign, Commonwealth Development Office’s (FCDO) funded Commercial Agriculture for Smallholders and Agribusiness (CASA) programme. The programme works towards the commercialization of dairy and vegetable value chain in Nepal. As part of its work in the vegetable sector, the programme in coordination with MoLMAC of Madhesh Province, wants to conduct a study on identification of vegetable crops that can reduce imports and increase self-reliance in Madesh Pradesh.

This request for proposal (RFP) is to invite potential service providers to conduct a study to identify the vegetable crops that can reduce imports and increase self-reliance in Madhesh Province and recommend CASA and MoLMAC of Madhesh Pradesh, for the appropriate policy interventions on the production and promotion of the identified vegetable crops. Interested organizations are invited to submit their technical and financial proposal with a cover letter to np.info@swisscontact.org no later than 5 PM July 1, 2022, with the subject line: CASA Vegetable Market study.  Only shortlisted organizations will be notified.
