Request for proposal to facilitate a training on Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and Complaints Response Mechanism (CRM)

FCA is the largest Finnish NGO in international aid and a member of ACT Alliance. We operate in 14 countries in Asia, Africa and the Middle East. FCA specializes in three thematic priority areas: Right to Livelihood (R2L), Right to Quality Education (R2QE) and Right to Peace (R2P). As a civil society actor, FCA realizes its mission and vision through development cooperation, humanitarian assistance, and advocacy works. With a commitment to bring about positive development through collaboration, FCA has been working in Nepal since 2013, especially focusing on women and vulnerable groups facing various types of discrimination. FCA has been implementing development cooperation and disaster response and recovery programs and projects covering 14 districts. As per FCA’s Organisational Goal 2 (OG2) on quality, accountability, sustainability and effectiveness in its global strategy, FCA is accountable to all stakeholders and we strive to operate a high-quality and effective organisation through continuous learning and improvement. FCA applies the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) as overall framework on quality and accountability.

FCA has decided to provide a practical CHS and CRM training for the partner organizations and to support the partner organizations in carrying out CHS self-assessments. The training will be carried out to strengthen the capacity of the partner organizations on CHS, with key focus on designing and implementing CRM, and to inform FCA about the current level of understanding and adaptation of CHS in each organization. The findings of the self-assessment will be made use of to develop an improvement plan for each partner organization and for FCA to focus its support on quality and accountability to the partners accordingly. For this purpose, FCA seeks applications from consultants with formal training and a proven experience on planning and conducting CHS and CRM trainings.
