Request for Expression of Interest (EOI) for Consultant

DYC Parsa has been implementing Empowering a New Generation of Adolescent Girls with Education (ENGAGE) Project in Jagarnathpur and Dhobini Rural Municipalities of Parsa district for the inclusive education and empowerment of girls with disabilities, marginalized girls and boys with disabilities. ENGAGE has been funded by DFID and led by VSO (Volunteer Service Overseas, Nepal has been leading the project in Parsa. This project is in operation from August 2018 aiming to empower the out-of-school girls(that includes marginalized girls with and without disabilities) in Jagarnathpur and Dhobini Rural Municipalities of Parsa.

The purpose of this consultancy is to support of girls and boys with disabilities through home base technical support for 7 months and working days only 7 days a month. The consultant will be mobilized household of girls and boys with disability, review the action plan made by the parents/caregivers of Primary Actors (PAs) with disabilities during the parents support skills training and orientation to parents/care givers. S/he will be providing technical support for home modification and assess physiotherapy materials based on the need of girls and boys with disabilities. The consultant will also train the Community Mobilizers (CMs) on primary rehabilitation services.

DYC Parsa is looking for an experienced consultant. Interested, qualified and experienced firm or individual are requested to submit application along with the following documents hardcopy or through email to the address within the timeline mentioned below:

Responsibility of Technical Person 

• Study and review the action plan made by the parents/caregivers of Primary Actors (PAs) with disabilities.
• Provide technical support for home modification. 
• Train Community Mobilizers (CMs) on primary rehabilitation services.
• Visit the households of girls and boys with disability with the help of community mobilizers and assess the situation and provide the needful support i.e., physiotherapy, suggestions and guidance to parents and care givers. 
• Assess physiotherapy materials based on the needs of girls and boys with disabilities. 
• Develop and update the individual report of girls and boys with disabilities and submit to DYC Parsa, in every month. 

Interested Consultancy firms/institution and individual consultant are required to submit the following: 

• Letter of interest 
• Personal CVs of professional personnel proposed for this consultancy service that applies to both individual consultant and firms.
• A brief concept note highlighting the methodological design including work plan and quality assurance mechanisms. 
• Financial proposal indicating consultancy fee and a breakdown of expenses. 
• Copy of company registration certificate (this is required for firms only) 
• Copy of PAN/VAT registration certificate.
